"Must visit the Sangam!"

  • 6.00/7

It is basically the confluence of Ganga and Yamuna rivers and the mythological river of Saraswati. I would recommend that you take a boat to the confluence point. Just make sure you don't go in the middle of summer! Please avoid random sadhus and guides and don't dish out random cash in the name of God.

"Confluence, really?"

  • 4.00/7
  • Posted Apr 8, 2014
Disclaimer: Review not for the devouts.

Definitely a once in a lifetime visit, to see why this place draws such a huge crowd year after year, season after season. Once of the places for the Maha Kumbh, it is the location where three of the holy rivers of India confluence. The confluence itself is a very tricky place, the position being shifted (??) and supposedly only the Pandits know how to find it. Shady enough? Be careful of performing unwary pujas, as they may charge you a fortune afterwards.

"Very dirty and full of cheaters"

Try to stay away from Purohits; and even the boatmen looted us. We really fooled by them almost 1500 lost for nothing. The place is very dirty. I had never visited such a dirty place before in my life.
