Sardargarh Heritage Hotel, Udaipur
Ranked 110 of 795 hotels in Udaipur
Staying here is a stunning experience. The hotel has been converted from the old fort, with more refurbishments planned for the future in other areas. The location is beautiful and off the well-beaten tourist route. The standard of rooms, dining, courtyards, gardens, atmosphere are all excellent. The family still live here and on our last morning we enjoyed a very informative tour of the fort led by Padharo Udaipur . HIghly recommend this app
Everything is perfect, from the stylish reception, through the loving and perfectly restored palace, the stylishly furnished with old furniture room (without having to sacrifice modern comfort), dinner with musical accompaniment by the campfire and breakfast the next morning on the roof terrace. The owner personally takes care of the guests, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. When one sees the not restored part of the building as a contrast, you know to appreciate the work that goes into the perfect to the last detail restoration. This hotel should be visited on each trip.

The rooms really are very good, with dressing room and large beautiful bath room. On the rooftop bar with stunning views all around. The pool very clean and pleasant hotel.
Fort which has kept its authenticity. medium sized hotel in a beautiful village, home worthy of a thousand and one night, spacious and comfortable room overlooking the village for some. The staff is very knowledgeable, the food is delicious. A real haven of peace.
Although it is a little away from traditional channels and requires a detour, this is the step we preferred during our stay in Rajasthan due to the quality of the premises, reception , meals. Very nice meeting with a couple who is struggling to restore this extraordinary place.Interesting tour of the area.
Arrived first night gloomy feel, once through the door we are in the palace of the Arabian Nights, sequel, welcome by the owners of the place, fine cuisine and great service. We are celebrating our anniversary prepared by the hostess. The next day city tour with unusual encounters and touching at once, accompanied by the owner who has very close ties with the people of the village. Really a pleasant stay.
Some of our fondest memory is first, the entrance with a huge studded door and into an old fort, left a little in the state, with well preserved ramparts, a magical sunset these old buildings, a castle to ourselves. A musical welcome by beautiful women in saris, small personal care, which make you visit the nooks and crannies of the ramparts. In the center of the fort, the palace of Maharajah , beautifully restored, with beautiful paintings, a museum, flower gardens, spacious rooms, large bathrooms, a view of the city below, the terraces with swings in front of each room, dining room with musicians, kitchen, fine, not too spicy, for once, we were alone in this paradise. Unforgettable....Refinement, beauty of the site, enchanting place, good food, and the icing on the cake. It is with regret that we left. One of the best addresses in Rajasthan.
