Satdhara Falls, located on the way to Panchpula is one of the most popular sightseeing attractions of Dalhousie. Perched at an altitude of 2036 m above sea level, the place has derived its name from the seven beautiful springs.
It is believed that these springs have several therapeutic values. This is because water in these springs comprises mica, which is known as 'Gandhak' in local language. The mica has several medicinal properties, which helps in curing many diseases and ailments. In addition, tourists visiting the place can also go for a walk and enjoy the natural beauty of the place.

"Naam barhe aur darshan chhote, this is exactly what Satdhara is about. We were told that this is about 2.5 km from Gandhi Chowk. We kept walking till we reached a tea stall with name Satdhara tea stall. The guy told us this is just round the corner. We kept walking for another 500m when we had the wisdom to ask a passerby and he told us that we had left it behind!. When? Where? We went back to the tea stall and the guy told us that Satdhara used to be there as 7 springs, but nothing there now. Huge dissappointment, but for the tea served at the teastall.More » « Less
