We stayed for 3 days and 2 evenings at the Taj Savoy. It has a truly unwinding feeling to it. We making the most of their spa treatment at their inside, which was great yet a bit pricy. It was a bit separated so was somewhat hard getting around so best on the off chance that you have your own particular method of transport. The eatery was great, again a touch pricy for the nature of sustenance. The rooms are unadulterated and clean as are the other shared spaces. The spot is extraordinary for vast gatherings or only a calm couple remain. I ran there with my family, a gathering of four and stayed there for three evenings. The patio nursery offers a decent perspective of the slopes. In addition the chimney during the evening in every room adds to the appeal. The area is a touch a long way from the primary business sector zone. Be that as it may, transport is effectively masterminded. The main slight negative is the nature of nourishment served in room administration. The nature of their eatery nourishment is way unrivaled The cradle breakfast that they serve is essentially marvelous. Likewise, the area is great with all the real vacationer spots in Ooty being at a scope of 2 to 5 Kms. I had a radiant time staying at the Taj Savoy and will exceptionally prescribe it to individual travelers. Overall an extraordinary ordeal.
Hotel was very nice. Location and appearance were very good. Booking and front office staff was excellent. Ambience was beautiful. Interior design was okay. Staff services were perfect and on time. Rooms were neat and spacious. TV and other basic amenities were available in the room. Food was okay. Varieties were available there in the menu card and both veg and non-veg varieties were served. Indoor and outdoor games were there. Ooty is a fabulous place as tourist destination. I went there with my family and it was a relaxing trip.
Ooty is one of our favorite hill stations in India and one of the best places to stay her amongst the hotels is the Savoy. While it is an ideal place to be during summer when the Blue Mountains open up and the temperature is pleasantly cool with the minimum around 10 to 12 degrees and the maximum around 22 degrees. However, this time for a change we went there during the winters for the New Year, and while the bookings have to be done in advance to avail of the New Year packages, it is a really lovely experience. Savoy has all the old world charm along with the most modern facilities and the service is always excellent. Most of the packages include all the meals and the dining experience is also fantastic. The chefs here take the trouble of meeting the guests and asking them about their preferred cuisine and if you name any particular dish they will try and provide it for you the next day. Most of the accommodation is in lovely small cottages and to keep up the old world charm, they have the typical English fireplaces, which are used to the hilt during the winter nights. While the temperature does not quite go down to the freezing point it is sometimes as low as 1 or 2 degrees Celsius. The day temperature is a pleasant 18 degrees and this is a most enjoyable experience with the highlight being the New Year eve dinner and dance which was arranged on the lawns, covered by a Shamiana (large tent) and had small bonfires all over. All in all it is a lovely relaxing holiday and we look forward to our next visit there.
