Sculpture Museum

Sculpture Museum, situated in Mahabalipuram, is known for having more than 3,000 sculptures of different Gods and Goddesses. The museum has monolithic statues dating back to the Gupta dynasty that are carved from rocks. Both Hindu mythological sculptures and Buddhist sculptures are also on display in the museum.

These sculptures are made of wood, cement and brass by some of the students of the Mamallapuram College of Sculpting.
