voted as clean

A little hillock, the Seminary Hill is located some 6 km from the older portion of the city. The hill has received its name from the Seminary of St. Charles that is situated on top of the hill only. From its top, the hill offers the complete view of the city. Tourists can definitely go up the hill as a part of a trekking attempt

"A Roman Catholic Theological College"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Apr 14, 2016
Seminary Hill is situated about 6 km from the city and got the name after the St. Charles Seminary which was established during the British Rule. This is a Roman Catholic theological college where priests are prepared. Near seminary a Church and a cemetery are also situated.

This hillock offers spectacular views of the surroundings and dense forests a pleasant environment especially for the young couples. On this hill Nation's back bone, means Indian Air Force is having Maintenance Command Head-Quarter, several bungalows of British period, Balaji Temple, Museum, Van Udyan, education Institutes like St. Francis De Sales College, Satpuda Botanic Garden, etc. All these are the symbolic part of this hill and making more attractive.

This is a very popular destination among the visitors and locals as everyone feels a pleasant change on this hill. Nearby attractions are lake Futala, Ambazari lake, etc and visitors may find many multi-cuisine restaurants and snacks bars in the vicinity of lake Futala.

Seminary hills in Nagpur is a very beautiful place to be visited. Their is A BAL-UDYAN where small children's can play. Whole area is surrounded by the trees. No problem visiting in summer too. Best atmosphere...

Small train is also their which children get attracted to. It takes the children inside the hills. Developing in them a very thrilling experience.

Some different kind of trees and flowers are their to be studied. Small amusement names are also their. Overall, a good place to be visited.

Nagpur and places near by are very less crowded, and so visiting here is a peace of mind. Come here if you wanted some free time with ancient India. Since climate here is hot so recommended to come in Winters, November to February.
