It was an indeed pleasant stay and very helpful and well organised staff, location was awesome and well maintained property. Rooms were clean and tidy. We loved the food! Enjoyed the in around places and our cab was arranged quickly by Navya for one day trip to Madikere. Looking forward for our next visits to Serene home stay.

It was a quick plan for a Christmas outing to Coorg and almost every resort/homestays were full. Luckily we got accommodation in Serene Homestay. We were a group of 3 couples with 3 kids and we had our own apprehensions as it was a hurried call. But upon reaching Serene Homestay we were relaxed and excited.

Even if it was December, weather was dry and warm. But the travel through Nagarhole National Park was scenic and we enjoyed every bit driving through the forest. The homestay is located inside a huge coffee estate and we were impressed at the well-maintained property. The rooms including the bathrooms were clean. There was a small kids play area where kids enjoyed a lot. Apart from that there is a small basket ball court. But the highlight was the small stream down the property and we including kids enjoyed a lot playing in the cold freezing water. The walk through the mud road going down to the stream through the coffee estate was rejuvenating. We reached the homestay afternoon and planned to go to Iruppu falls in the evening, but just preferred staying back in the homestay relaxing.

The dinner was splendid and they served more than enough which we could have. The host already took our preference and we preferred the local flavor with the Coorg special pork curry, which was indeed splendid and we devoured every bit of it. Next day breakfast too was good.

We wanted to spend more time in homestay, but our travel plan was packed so we had to leave the homestay after breakfast. For our next visit to Coorg for sure, we will not add anything to our itinerary just a relaxing stay at Serene Homestay.

A must visit and stay in Coorg.

A natural bliss. A sense of serenity in everything. It was my wife's fourth visit here. I am thoroughly convinced that once you visit this place, you will come back craving for more! The sumptuous meals especially the pork and chicken curries are drool worthy, even after stuffing ourselves there were food for a couple of more people. The warm hospitality of Navya made us feel at home. This is the place to be if you r in Coorg!

Initially I was little hesitant to book this hotel, but during the stay the hesitation turned into anxiety and curious.

1. Food: food is excellent and most importantly it was healthy. Two dishes never tasted before was the highlight of the dinner. The dinner you can't differentiate what style it was like north indian, south indian etc. To start with there was a starter, then chapati and a typical south indian food (rice, sambar, rasam and curd) and to end with a dessert (non-veg was served on request as we were vegetarian we didn't order it). Oh almost forgot to mention about breakfast. We were served with bread, butter, jam and another south indian tiffin (omelette was also available on request). Mornings and evenings we were served with tea and milk (for my 3 yr old son) and they were great.

2. Room: room was well decorated. Bed, bedsheets, pillows were in good condition and good aroma due to the surroundings. It sounds crazy but would easily rate the full marks for bathroom because of its cleanliness and hygienic.

3. Hospitality: navya who is the incharge and owner who helped and guided us even before we reached there. Any time we need anything we were served with a smile.

4. Play area: there were small play area for kids where my children enjoyed a lot. There was a swing made of tyre (yes heard it right its a black tire of vehicle) were my elder son never got down from it as it was a different experience to him. The main attraction to the play area was the tree house. I have been to many hill stations but never saw a tree house. My sons initially were scared but later enjoyed a lot by getting up and down. Last but not least, there were basket ball pole for both adults and kids (small) and carrom to play in the night.

5. Picnic places: irupu falls just 7 kms away was great, joyful and enjoyed a lot by bathing in the falls. Down the falls, there is a small place which was great to take photographs.

6. Highlight: there is a small stream which belongs to the serene homes was the highlight of all. More than the falls, my kids enjoyed a lot by playing and bathing in the stream. My little son was enjoying the most of all in the stream. I don't have to worry about my sons enjoying in the stream as the water flow was mild and not dangerous.

If I want to go to a place just to relax like having fun, playing with my kids, having food and sleep, then serene homes will be on top of my list.

Located in the midst of beautiful surrounding, Serene Homestay offered just everything that we wished for. The rooms were simple yet neat and tidy and the food was excellent. The place also had a small stream which was a great place to spend some quality time. The overall experience would have been excellent if some adventure activities were also planned.

Situated in a beautiful coffee estate in a small town called Kutta in Coorg district, Serene homestay is a home away from home. Its an ideal location for a medium size group of 12-15. Thats because if you have that size group, you will get the whole homestay for yourself.

Big courtyard in front of homestay which serves as car parking, short pitch cricket ground (they provide you with bat and ball), basketball court (basket ball is provided) and probably as coffee drying yard at some point of the year. Extremely courteous hosts. Owners will receive you themselves and take care of all your needs. Everything that they can.

Clean rooms, clean toilets, clean bedsheets, clean pillow covers, clean towel and clean blankets add to the extremely good experience of staying here. To top it you have extremely comfortable mattress and pillows. Hygienic and tasty food that doesn't go heavy on your stomach. And they have power backup as well.

Everything is great except for one. They don't provide lunch and the town doesn't have much options. So, incase you have kids and elderly people with you, do make some arrangements for them. You can try requesting the owners and most certainly they might oblige.

Anyone who stays here should go down to the private stream that flows through the coffee estate. Also you should visit Irpu falls which is 8 kms from the homestay. If you can, walk to the falls from homestay. Walk is amazing as you almost see half of the town, inhale fresh air and get to take some amazing photos. To top it all there is almost no traffic.

Buy fresh wines and honey from the town market. Extremely good honey at 3/4th the price of big brands.

Haven been here twice in last 1 year and if given a chance, I would go again. Best time to visit according to me is towards the end of monsoon.

We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days along with 4 adults and 2 children.

The food is the best part about this place, followed by very neat and clean rooms. We would like to visit this 43 acre property once again to enjoy the pepper, coffee and betel nut plantation.

It is worth the stay!!
