Shelter Hotel Reviews
In Hotel Shelter the service, room, location, cleanliness, room service were all very good. The restaurant was not OK. The support at reception, security guards at the door was also very good. I don't know why if we book through makemytrip. Com the check in & check out is 12 noon and they are following strictly.
I had visited this hotel for official purpose with colleagues. There was no delay in check in and checkout. The allotted room was spacious with clean. The Wi-Fi facility was not provided by the hotel. I didn’t take food from the hotel. I don't have any suggestion for this hotel. The transportation facility was available in the hotel.
The hotel was located in centre of the city. The service was average. The breakfast quality was good in this hotel. The activity was not available at the hotel. The destination of the hotel was good. The hotel was located nearby the temple. The room was neat and clean. All amenities were provided in the room. I was not satisfied with room price in....Read More
In Hotel Shelter the service, room, location, cleanliness, laundry, room service were all very good. The restaurant was OK. The support at reception, security guards at the door was also very good. I will definitely prefer this hotel during my next visit to Chennai.
For the first time I have visited Chennai, first of all I was thinking about the weather then I was thinking about the hotel. But finally when I landed in Chennai my whole thought got change, I directly went to the hotel and took some rest. I had my breakfast and went for work. Nice experience.
It's good and budget hotel ultimately, you will get what you want or you paid for. The Size of room is good and bathroom middle having good breakfast menu, only problem in lobby having some mosquitoes.
I need 24 Hours Check in Check Out like The Residency Chennai! The House Keeping Dept is very bad! You'll have to call them at least 3 times for every item you need! There is Step Motherly Treatment if The Guest Books the Room through an Agent!
Nice location and excellent service. Value for money. Front office and roomservice are excellent. Every time for my business and family trip I prepare this hotel.
Located in the central location adjacent to Sri Shirdi Saibaba temple, the hotel offers excellent service at an affordable cost. On the downside, the food prices are little high and corridor outside service lift stinks a lot. Overall the cleanliness can be improved but still provides excellent value for money. Happy Staying!
We enjoyed our stay of 1 day. The staff is very helping. Cleanliness is excellent and breakfast was also very good. But the check out time was 12, not 24 hrs. If you book online price is Less but check out time is 12.

Located very near to railway station. A nice property, surrounded by a cool garden with a small pool at the middle, maintained hotel. Lovely reception & lobby area. Receptionist were really very helpful lead us to our room. Our room was big and spacious. Interior was very well decorated and clean. Buffet breakfast was good. Room services were in time and quick. Cleanliness & hygiene was taken care of well. Good staff as well as services. Roof top got a beautiful view of city. We stayed at ground floor. Our stay was a memorable one hope to visit again if got another chance.
I booked two rooms in this hotel for one night for two families. The booking done through makemytrip for five adults & one child of 10 years. The fare includes breakfast. But front desk manager told me that I have to pay breakfast charges for my child because their hotel policy for free breakfast for child was upto 9 years age. So I paid for my child's breakfast. I think this one thing upset me. Except this, the hotel location is good. It is near to the Marina beach. Very near to Kapileswar temple and Madras city centre mall. Taxis and autos easily available. The rooms are neat & clean. The breakfast was also good. Overall, the hotel is good for stay.
The location of the hotel is very good and close to the market place where we had to shop. The breakfast was good and had a good spread. Room service was satisfactory and the housekeeping was good. Parking for our car was convenient and the staff of the hotel were very courteous. Value for money. I can recommend people to stay at this hotel while in Chennai.
Makemytrip agent not giving response and respect. But Hotel Shelter is one of the best hotels in Chennai city. Front office staff were good and polite. Giving good attention with the guest particularly, Mr. Kumar is a very good manager. Complementary breakfast is very worst.
The Shelter Hotel situated at Mylapore was really too good, so was the staff. Food was very good, room was good so was the room service. Value for money. Very close to the Kapileswara Temple and Shirdi Sai Temple. Hotel is very close to the beaches and the hotel is just behind the metro station.
Rajinikanth plans to finally settle down at his Kelambakkam farmhouse in Channai. When he is there, he goes into complete rest and his family does not entertain any guest.
