On my holiday trip I visited Ooty. I went there along with my family in the month of May 2017. We booked the room directly. We had a bad experience. Last time I visited there it was good. But now I had worst experience. The staff was very rude. I went late night. They told me there is one room in 3rd floor. They charged me Rs2500/-. They are not giving bed sheets. They did not serve us. If we question them they are saying to leave the hotel. We felt bad about it. We called the owner and he is saying to keep the phone. There is no parking place. We had to park on the main road. The whole night I was worried about the car safety. The location of the hotel was very poor. Surroundings are not good. Drainage is there. It is not maintained the area. The appearance of the hotel was not good at all. We did not like it. It is opposite to railway station. The Front office staff was terrible. The staff was very rude. The service of the hotel was bad. There is no service. If we want anything. We have to come down from the 3rd floor. If we ring also they wont come. There is no lift facility. We had an argument with the staff. They did not help us with bed sheets and he was asking for the full amount. They did not clean the used bed sheets. They were very rude. I thought of complaining the police. Then I thought not to complain. The room was not maintained at all. There is no shower and bathroom facility is not good at all. The bathroom is not well kept. We had food in the hotel. They charge a high price for food. There is package system for food. Forcefully we have to take it. Cleanliness is not maintained. There were no other activities in the hotel. When we go to a hotel we expect politeness from the hotel. We did not get it in this hotel. The staff is not friendly at all. There are no special arrangements for kids and elders. Other travelers will get to know about my stay by reading this review.
My stay in the Shiv Shanthi Grand when I had been to Ooty during the month of december 2016. It was my business trip with alone. I would rate the destination as good. I would rate the location as good because it is at main center. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as good as it is very clean. Hotel front office was very good as they will respond quickly with appropriate information. I booked this room directly at hotel. I would rate the services in the hotel were very good with immediate response. The rooms at the hotel were good because of facilities and decoration. The food in the hotel was very good because we can get fresh and tasty food.
The resort was very good. There was no breakfast in the morning and we went outside for breakfast. There was lunch and dinner facilities are available. The food was good. The room given was well maintained with amenities placed in proper conditions. There was no view from the room. There was no delay in check-in and check-out. For site seeing we managed our self. The hotel was worthy to pay.

Rooms are quite specious, having cupboard for baggage however bathroom fittings need to be checked.This hotel has child play area which is good for families having kids, enough parking space .hotel have a restaurant ,South indian breakfast was good. No idea about lunch/dinner as we had our food outside. Location of hotel is near to most of tourist places like botanical garden, haring cross road market etc, Hotel staff members provided good Hospitality and I am completely satisfied with the service . Overall a good option for stay for families :)
The beach was conveniently located. There was difficulty in finding or reaching to the resort. The staffs were very good, friendly and helpful. The resort was very good. The hotel was worthy to pay. The management had arranged indoor and outdoor games like swimming pool. I went with my family.
SHIV SHANTHI GRAND HOTEL IS VERY GOOD , ROOMS IS VERY COMFORT , FRONT OFFICE WAS VERY GOOD , LOCATION WAS BEAUTIFULL , SHIV SHANTHI GRAND HOTEL NEAR MAIN ROAD , ROOM SARVECES , PARKING , TRAVEL DESK ,ALSO VERY GOOD , VEHICAL SARVECES VERY NICE .
Hotel was convenient to bus stop hotel staffs were good and appearance of hotel was good only inside basic amenities were provided well there was no a/c in the room garden view was seen in the hotel food was good and served north indian dish activities were not provided hotel didnt provide sight seeing hotel was valued for the money and definitely recommend people hotel was in average condition
This hotel is located in mysore highway it is clean and well maintained interior the management take care of their travellers food is nice They decorated the interior for every festival Nice hotel to hangout with family Room services are good too Cabs are provided for local side seens
hotel is good but room size is small and intertainment like t v not proper work service like meals and sight seen is average but city is lovely so my family want see one moretime the nature is beautiful like Kashmir my family say south Kashmir hotel parking place is small finaly happy trip
