This temple is dedicated to the Maratha King Chhattrapati Shivaji and was built by Rajaram in dedication to his father. The temple was built in the year 1695 on Sindhudurg. The idol of King Sivaji is present within the temple in Yogic Veerasan pose was carved out of black stone, it is a complete replica of real Sivaji as far as the dressing, and appearances are concerned.
Near to the Dilli gate on the tower are the two domes with Sivaji’s footprints along with palm prints on dried lime slabs.
