Shri Tatya Kote Samadhi

Shri Tatya Kote Samadhi was built near Lendi Baug. He was one of the most ardent followers of Sai Baba, and was living with him since he was seven years old. Everyone was attracted towards Sai Baba because of their powers, but Tatya was inspired by his  human and personal ways. When Sai Baba came to Shirdi for the first time, Tatya's parents recognised his greatness, while others treated him as a fakir and madman.

Tatya's mother, Bayjabai, never ate anything without feeding Sai Baba first. She roamed everywhere with the thali of food in search of Sai Baba. Sai Baba used to refer to Bayjabai as his mother. Shri Tatya Kote was the son of Bayjabai, the woman whom Sai Baba referred to as his mother.
