Built
in 1573, the mosque is amongst the more popular mosques in Ahmedabad. It is the
last remaining symbols of the sultanate of Gujrat. With large windows and
intricately netted partitions the mosque allows for a generous play of light
that creates a near magical effect. The
lattice screens common to the mosques made in that era are especially worth a
look and are immensely beautiful.
