Silent Hills Resort, Palghar
Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway (NH 8) Village Manor Palghar Thane
Rooms: All rooms seems to be really good but I preferred Deluxe room package with food. Rooms have awesome river side view from all rooms with good sitting arrangements outside rooms. Perfect view from the room. Well, on weekends there is no option given to visitor for room package. Lunch/Dinner/Breakfast all things are good enough and edible. Water Park: Not a big water park but it has good dedicated pools for room package and is very crowded on weekends. Location: Not too far from Mumbai. 90 mins drive from Mumbai.
My stay at this hotel was comfortable and the hotel location is really good and it is conveniently located. The staffs were very friendly and professional in services and the room allotted to me was very spacious and maintained hygiene with all the required amenities in proper working condition. The food was good with lots of varieties in vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There was no delay during sign in and sign out process. I recommend this hotel to other travellers.
I was driving Honda City Zxi from Virar to Manor, Road are very clean and filled with greenery on the sideways. While driving through Mumbai-Ahmedabad Road (NH8) you will come across lots of Sahyadri range of mountains and specifically during monsoon or winter they look dam gorgeous. Filled with clouds or fog during that time. NH8 also has lots of good restaurants for Breakfast and Lunch /Dinner but not as densely populated dhaba's liked Mumbai-Nasik road. We've halted at Datta Snacks, where they serve awesome Poha, Vadapav, Kanda bhaji (Onion Pakoda), Missal, Sandwiches and various breakfast options (got carried away with food again) We usually reach to Silent Hills Resort in one hours drive from Virar, but for guyz coming from Ghodbunder side add another 30 mins and of course your starting point duration till Ghodbunder. This property is not very visible while driving, hence you should use the McDonald (along with CCD Outlet) outlet on your right hand side(when your coming from Mumbai). So you will have to take U turn below Flyover and take Ahmedabad - Mumbai road (or reach where you've seen McDonalds outlet. Exactly after McDonald's outlet there will be very small / tiny Lane (on your left hand side) from main highway and keep driving for another 2 mins to enter Silent Hills resort main gate. During monsoon the visibility will be very low, hence pls drive carefully as vehicles passes through at high speeds. Upon arrival at this property, you get assistance from hotel staff for Parking and check-in process. This property is really huge and widely spread across. Despite of being this property huge and wide it's very nicely maintained and Clean. I've been there twice and Never found this place unhygienic and not clean. In fact you will feel like you are very far from noisy and disconnected from your hectic life. The room we got had an awesome view of river bank and small mountain. Room is very nice, clean and given little different furniture and amenities. Every room has "BhagwadGita" kept in drawer below television set. They have a nice space for balcony with table and chair where you can sit in evening or during Sunrise (adding hot tea to this mood will get you more awesome feeling :D ). I think this resort is pure veg diet in their restaurant
We had been to Silent Hill Resort to spend some relaxing and quality time with family but ended up coming back with back pain and with disappointment of time and money wasted. Inspite of doing a well in advance room reservation, when we arrived we got to know there was no room reserved. The room that was allocated was very very poorly maintained.. Broken wash basin, unclean room, fully cracked seating balcony space making it dangerous to sit and relax. The bed linens seemed used and not changed, had dirty stains all over....Had to get it rechanged on checkin. This was not enough, the worst was yet to come...We had booked for a Double Bed Room but was shocked to find that there was no double bed but instead 2 single beds kept together to convert into a double bed...In simple terms a funny Jugaad done by a well known Resort who charges a very decent room rate.....Every time we used the bed it used to slip on both sides and a gap was formed in between...Had a terrible time spending 2 nights and finally came back with severe back pain...On complaining they just accepted their mistake/situation and reverted that they can't do anything about it.. They have a excellent menu card available for Ala-Carte room service but the only challenge is you dont get most of the stuff written in it....Overall a terrible experience.... Got a feel of staying in a low rated Lodge... Disappointed....
It was great experience staying here affordable and best place to be in mumbai and the best of times here with family food also was good and Lot of place around to play next time will plan during weekdays lets see the overnight staying experience should be good during weekdays
Just as the name goes it is absolutely silent in the lap of nature and just 1 min away from the highway. They have swimming pool with small rides so everyone in family can enjoy the in the pool.food is very tasty special they Shrikhand which is freshly made. They have some unique furniture around the resort area long with boating inside the resort itself.you can just relax by laying on hammock and seeing the beauty around after lunch

A very nice Vegetarian resort with water Park, And Deluxe Room / Suite. Good Food, Best time to visit is after rainny season, Lot of activity for children and adults. Boating, small toy train etc. Location is excellent on the national western Highway. 2 Hr drive from mumbai.
Silent hills as title suggests is very calm soothing place with fresh air and beautiful vicinity of nature, its clean resort, hospitality of the staff is very good, rooms are neat clean spacious equipped with all modern amenities in working conditions. its value for money, definitely recommendable
it was one of my best vacation time which i spent here at this resort! Aesome location, nice view from rooms and a very good staff people who helps who very generously. Rooms are awesome and washrooms are very clean as required and I tought of. food was good but they need to work out on rates of food as much cheaper food is available in surroundings of hotell. overall awesome
Great place! Positives - 1. Proximity to Mumbai - not too long a drive - just good enough to enjoy the drive. 2. Beautiful place by the Vaitarna river. 3. Lots of open space and greenery. In all a perfect weekend ( 1 day is good enough) kind of place. very relaxing and rejuvenating. Negatives - 1.Food is disappointing - No non veg food and even the vegetarian fare lacks variety and is not too good . (May be they could get better ratings by changing the cook). 2. Front desk staff are unfriendly and could be a bit courteous. 3. Blaring Bollywood music by the poolside may sometimes not be everyone\'s idea of a great relaxing time - should think about those people as well.
Situated on the banks of the Vaiterna river, the well maintained resort has a true feeling of being in real nature. Well maintained green surroundings, baconies of all the rooms face the river, with clear view of far off hills and no noise pollution in the rooms. We checked in their Delux room on first floor and were drawn to the beautiful view from the wide open balcony. The room was rather very basic with a cozy double bed made of steel tubings. The room had a sofa cum bed, two chairs and a 20 inch TV. Not fair after paying Rs7300 for a couple all inclusive. But the environs and great relaxing views compensated the high charges. The package included lunch on arrival, evening tea with Kanda bajia and dinner-all pure veg, but good taste and variety. We had our lunch sitting under a canopy along the river, thogh many preferred sitting in the restaurant area. An evening walk through semi forest to the \"Sangam\" of Vaiterna and the Dehraja river was very nice. The resort is open to one day picnickers who go for water pools with loud filmy music or go on water slides. The people who check in like us, these pools etc are open too but we felt not worth being in pool with shrieking youngsters dancing with the blaring music. Like to request resort management to have a separate swimming pool only for families who check in.
A wonderful resort experience overall. Situated close to the city yet far from the hustle and bustle. Makes you feel close to nature, and perfect to unwind on a weekend
We were impressed by the clean and minimalistic appearence of the resort after a 2 hour comfortable drive from mumbai. The place is well kept and tastefully designed. The rooms are arrangen in the clusters of eight, 4 on the ground and four on the 1st floor. The rooms on the ground(A/C) are better and have the advantage of a riverfront sit-out at the back.hammocks on the riverside are a great place to read and relax. The water slides and pool are fairly good and other facilities for kids such as the toy train are sure to please the familes. The only downside is the resaurant(pure-veg!!) and the service there.
Resort was conveniently located. Easy to Locate, its slightly away from city. Next to a river. Outward appearance was excellent, interiors and exterior decoration was very nice. Staff was very helpful, behavior was good. Hospitality was excellent. Room was spacious, neat, clean, and well-maintained. Every room had river view from the room. Basic amenities were well in working condition. Food was available and quality was good. No issue in check-in and check-out. Beautiful Indoor and outdoor activity, boating facility. Parking area was very spacious, Sightseeing arrangement was there. Good for relaxation with family. Recommendable to other travellers. Stay was satisfactory.
