Silvassa food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Food and alcohol are very economical in Silvassa. Hotel Pioneer serves good breakfast & meals. Dan tourist hotel is an economical hotel which serves excellent food. Café Bingo is a good hangout fro evening tea and snacks
Once in Silvassa you have to visit the gardens in the early evening to enjoy the pleasant breeze & capture their beauty. Places that you should not miss are Vandhara Udyan & Piparia Garden. The tribal Cultural Museum is worth a short visit to get an insight into the tribal lifestyle. If you have the time and a vehicle you can enjoy a long and pleasant drive to Dudhni where you can indulge in water sports. You can also take a long boat ride & have a picnic lunch in the island that’s at the centre of the lake.
There are not many things that you can shop at in Silvassa. Its more a place for relaxation

Hotel Review of Woodlands Inn
Comments: The hotel is very basic with no leisure activities. But it is perfect for relaxation & complete value for money. It is located right in the city which is very convenient as you are close to the bus depot, rickshaw stand & close to many restaurants as well. We stayed here in mid October & took a deluxe a/c room. The rooms are very clean, spacious, bright & comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly & accommodating. Room service is very prompt
Best Experience: The front office is very friendly & tells you about the places to visit and how to get there. They were very accommodating and allowed us to stay post check out timings on the last day as our train was scheduled for the evening.
Worst Experience: The restaurant attached to the hotel only has veg food which is not very good. Suitable only for breakfast or evening tea.
