In the month of January, I visited this place for a holiday trip with family. It was a very good city to visit. The location of the hotel was excellent; it was near to my destination. The car was the best way to reach this place. The appearance of the hotel was good, the interior was nice. The front office was also good, the staff was co-operative. It was an online booking. The room was good to stay, the atmosphere was good, and it was clean and spacious. Service was very good, they serve everything on time. The food was good to taste, complimentary breakfast was provided. The activity was good, swimming pool was available. The overall it was a good experience.
We had a booking at Silver Brooke Estate Home Stay in Coorg. This place is not less than a surprise for first time visitor and is situated 8 km away from Madikeri city. We arrived here after crossing many twists and turns on SH-89. The place is surrounded by deep ever green rain forest and coffee plantation thrive under mesmerizing tree shadow. The place was neat and well organized. The caretaker shown us common areas like library living room and dining area and our rooms. The rooms had high ceiling with a small transparent section to let the sunlight in the room and the furniture had a rustic charm of teak wood. The main hall had a library shelf, and was decorated with artistic lamps of the gone era. Food served was very homely and we never felt we could ask for more. Owner Revathi and her Husband made us felt quite comfortable like our own home. A must visit place for the Wander-lusters.
There was no delay in check in and checkout at the booking office of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast and dinner was provided by the hotel. All the amenities were available in the room. I had visited this hotel with my family for personal trip. The parking place was available in the hotel. I would not suggest anything to this hotel. The appearance of the hotel was very good. The behaviour of the staff's was very good in the hotel. The overall experience was very nice in the hotel.
I had a good experience in the hotel. I went there with family for vacation. The interior and exterior appearance of the hotel was good. The hotel was situated in a coffee state. The staffs were helpful in the hotel. I had no delay at check in and checkout. The room allocated to me was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. All the amenities were provided in the room. All were functioning properly in the room. Forest view was visible from my room. The food served at the hotel was good in quality and reasonable in price. The activities were not provided at the hotel. The hotel was value for money. I don’t have any suggestion for the hotel.
We had booked this home stay for two nights thru a travel agent. We were given the opinion that this was one of the best home stays, regularly awarded, and highly recommended. We were asked to see the videos posted. On their website as well as on Youtube. Little did we realise what we were in for. The location is terrible: cannot be reached once it is dark. The approach road sorry to say is no road at all. There is no reception / front office, no hotel register, no one asked for any identity. On arrival we were shown our cottage which was OK. For dinner there was no option but to have whatever was available which was frugal but quite expensive. The good part of this place is the service by the cook & waiters. They really looked after us during dinner time like serving hot rotis etc. Breakfast was very ordinary with very limited options. My advise to fellow travellers is to avoid this place altogether.
Stay in Silver Brook is fabulous and gently. My family surprised after seeing the estate. Very nice and feeling like stay in my child hood. Construction of home is very good, all the way they used older teak wood. We feel very happy and we also stayed in rare earth estate also, feeling marvellous.
Top Reviews of Silver Brook Estate
The last bit of the road to Silver Brook was really bumpy and adventurous. It made us doubt our decision but the moment we reached there we knew that such beautiful places cannot have easy access. This home stay stands out for its hospitality. The staff is exceptionally good. The food is fantastic and the experience of staying in a cottage surrounded by nature is simply majestic. For people who are looking at a peaceful staff for rejuvination, this place comes highly recommended. Also a great place to go in a group so that you dont get bored. The 'privacy' factor is the best. There are only 5 rooms that are let out so less chances of getting lost in a crowd like it happens in most of the resorts. Its like staying at a country home. The place has been artistically done and the surroundings give it the right kind of feel. We simply enjoyed our stay there.
We arrived from our native land Goa, the land of 365 days of fun and frolic, only to fall in love once again in Silver Brook. While the Brook is Sterling Silver, the name is a misnonomer it had GOLD Class written all over, The lush green lawns with its array of trees of different hues the Lotus pond and stately oak trees the vast coffee plantations with pepper entwined. The well stocked library had us dashing to sit and relax and unwind, amidst natures treasures so painstakingly restored by two wonderful people Revathi and Yogesh, Revathi a classical dancer with her dancing eyes and keen sense for detail, who with her elegant feminine touch and vast collection of antiques has transformed SILVER BROOK to a heavenly abode I am still fascinated with those sturdy highly polished Solid Teak wood Chettinad Pillars. The king sized antique bed with its thick invting mattress made us feel like, why get up let us sleep some more. Food was a wonderful experience, what when the Chef was an Ex. Taj Manager who catered to every whim with hot , hot chapatis and service that left you satisfied to the core. The one problem we had was that clothes just didnt dry, and during our long treks many a times we just couldnt get mobile connectivity. This Property is enviromental friendly .So please , please help in keeping it that way so that our children and grand children may enjoy itI am reminded of those words you can go but be back soon, God willing yes we will.
The Coorg experience can only enjoyed to the fullest if you choose a home stay . If you are lucky enough to stay at Silver Brook Estate, you will certainly want to come back. There can be no better location for a relaxed stay and getting away from it all vacation. We arrived from Mangalore - a long and arduous drive - the roads could be better, to find our hosts Revathi and Yogesh waiting to receive us in the drive way. Their warm smiles and hospitality immediately made us feel like honoured guests. Silver Brooks has the charm of an old traditional Estate home with all modern conveniences. It is very obvious a lot of thought and effort has gone into planning and creating this home-stay from the rooms to the wide verandah with game board tiles and the spotlessly clean open kitchen. THe staff is courteous and attentive and food is exceptionally good. The garden and the adjoining estate with the brook warbling through invites you to just linger around and relax all day. One thing I would do differently next time is to forget sightseeing and just enjoy Silver Brook Estate - the perfect home away from home!
Excellent place for enjoying holiday with family. Both Mr. Yogesh & Mrs. Revathy took utmost care and provided us with excellent service. The rooms are well maintained and very clean (both inside and outside open area), food offered by them is excellent (it will not even match with our regular home food). The dishes offered are excellent and very very tasty. Even a person who is diet conscious will put on his weight if he stay for even 2 or 3 days by 3 to 4 kgs. Situated in the middle of coffee estate the atmosphere is very fine and night the sound of various birds makes us feel so happy. Having lived in fully congested area in Chennai without any facilities and bad roads/maintenance, this place (coorg) well maintained and clean roads made us trip more meaningful. Overall the trip was excellent and whenever we plan for a holiday 1st preference will be to visit Coorg again and to stay only in SILVER BROOK. Overall the trip was very nice and excellent and my personal thanks to both Mr & Mrs.Revathy.
I had the privilege to be one of the first ones to stay in Silver Brook Estate. I can see passion and energy gone in to create this place... right from the tiles, doors and locks, each one has been selected with utmost care and have a story. I thought it would be a normal stay but it was different... it was an experience in itself, coffee plantations giving you experience of a jungle stay, feel of the old traditions ( ambiance of the cottage) with a comfort of a home, delicious food and top it all, you get to meet two adorable human beings, Yogesh and Revathi, who are always keen to pass on their smiles to all and make everyone enjoy every moment of their stay. I am sure I will be back soon....\'
