I visited Havelock with my wife and resided at this hotel. My experience here was amazing and there was no problem faced during the stay. The location is beautiful and the hotel is very convenient to locate. There is a beach nearby and the appearance of the hotel is maintained well. The staff members in the hotel are excellent in service and behaviour. The room allotted to me was well-maintained with all the required amenities in good condition. The food provided in the hotel was very good in quality and taste, and I had only vegetarian food. There was no delay made while check-in or check-out procedure. There is gym, spa and private beach available at this hotel. OveraOptional hotel but good to stay with satisfactory facilitiesll, the hotel is truly worth for money and considering the facilities the hotel is definitely suggestive to others.

The beaches in Havelock are much better than that of Port Blair. As is obvious from the name of the resort, it is by the beach side. Almost 20 cottages are nearer to the beach than the rest which are near the front office. If possible, ask for the cottage nearest to the beach. The resort is also near to the market place where you can rent a bike/take ferry to Elephanta etc. The beach near the resort is okay where you can relax during the evening. There are not a lot of amenities and apparently, that is the case with all hotels in Havelock.

Staff behaviour was very good. But when you are paying more for a night, I certainly expect facilities and things to be excellent and not just good. Location is excellent, the hotel does not reply to the mails and if you call up for pick-up or booking of ferry then they play passing the buck amongst the staff and their properties between Havelock and Port Blair. Room did not have intercom saying the rooms were new.

The Hotel is excellent and beach is very beautiful. The name of the beach is Vijaynagar beach. The food at hotel is fantastic and very tasty. The cottages are great here. The Havelock Island is very big and environment is very good. Everywhere there is greenery and blue waters. Also visited Neil Island is very fantastic place. Overall, great trip and enjoyed.

Liked the cottages here. We got one right on the beach so, could enjoy the blue waters and beach very much. Except one or two dishes food was good generally. Clean and well-maintained rooms, public areas although a bit expensive. There are many small eateries also around where one can try local food. One favourite was the Andaman Bubbles or Fat Martin where you can get nice dosas and a not to miss desert. A must visit place.

I landed up in this this resort in mid Jan, 2015, thorough a travel portal that I booked online and stayed at the sister hotels, as well as part of the holiday package.

It's difficult to review a resort which is geographically so isolated considering all the logistical and other challenges that go into running a place like this. So one needs to keep an open mind and this review maybe read with a disclosure subject to terms and conditions¯.

Any holiday is an experiential matter, and needless to say, the place of stay is a huge determining factor for this experience. The location is undoubtedly the crowning glory of this resort. It has a sliver of the famed sandy beaches of Havelock and unspoilt views of the gorgeous Andaman Sea. This is as close as one can get to enjoy the commune with nature.

Coming to the more practical and functional aspects- the resort is away from the main town so access to the commercial hub is difficult as there are no transport facilities. If you are lucky you may find an auto, else you have to hire a scooty. The rooms are well-furnished and comfortable with a log cabin kinda feel, but on the downside they seriously need sound proofing. Also a stocked up minibar wouldn’t be a kill considering it is dreadfully hot and humid when it's bright and sunny.
The place is cut off cell phone network connectivity wise. Be prepared as even the landlines can be down in case there's heavy downpour. So depending on your temperament you could actually get a panic attack or enjoy your new found freedom from digital and the urbane chaos.

The dinner options (though a little on the spicier side) were fairly good but breakfast could have been definitely better.

A few pointers though-
It's important to keep some cash handy for emergencies. The place doesn't accept cards and of the two ATMs in the islands, the AXIS bank remains non-functional and the SBI has perennially serpentine queues.

Also for non-honey mooning couples it's advisable to carry your non digital entertainment options like a book or a game of scrabble/ chess; cause if the weather Gods play truant and you are holed up inside the resort instead of going scuba diving; then you are gonna be bored to death! And trust me when it pours its absolutely torrential rain!

I realized during the stay that the tariff is pretty steep for the budget traveller. If you are booking a package through a travel portal it works out more reasonable. The friendly staff, right from the resort manager -Mr. Pawan, guest relations Ms. Faizleen, down to the night guard, were all very courteous and helpful. So that earns them brownie points.

The breathtaking view of the Andaman seascape, shades of turquoise and teal. sandy beaches, tiny white crabs crawling over the feet, little fisherman's boats bobbing up and down and the distant lighthouse at night more than make up for the shortcomings of the resort.

This hotel is very good. It's outside location is very good. Room is well-decorated. I suggest that if the visitors can aware what they will eat the whole day, then they will prepare for that. I think the hotel room needs to be painted.
