Simply Wonder full. Only bunglow probably , so inside the forest and will have 90 % guaranteed encounter with wild. I was hearing about the place for 4 years to finally decided to book it. It is easy as this place is the first choice of any travelers to Dooars. It is difficult to explain my experience.There was a full WAR just in front of your Room between a heard of 12 Elephants, 3 Bison and 4 Rihno with Cubs AND we are watching it through our window upto 3.30 AM. The Bunglow was almost occupied by the Govt Servants till Last year , when Tourist Dept has taken a decision not to allow Govt Occupancy more than 2 Rooms a Day. Now Tourists can take the Benifit of this Bunglow , which was the Best Choice of Ex WB Chief Minister \' Jyoti Basu\'. There is a Saltpit just before the Bunglow , where Animals come to to lick the salt AND the SaltPit is just 100 meters away from your Window. Take best of your Camaras ( if with Night Vision ).

The Hollong Tourist Lodge is around 6 KM inside the Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary. The road is not good but the journey is excellent. The right side of 6km road is covered by fencing so that wild animal could not take on to the road. The Hollong lodge is good with big room and big bathroom. Specially 2nd floor VIP rooms are good. During night, number of animals like Elephant, Rihno, Byson, Deer used to come just in front of the lodge which is hardly 300 ft. away from the lodge to take taste of salt on salt pit. Animals come on phase-wise and ofcourse in group one by one. The sounds of animals breaks the silence in night and it\'s really adventourious and enchanting and it\'s really get frightened to the tourist. Forest officials have made an arrangement with big search light so that tourist can watch animals from their room only in night upto 11 p.m. After that no body is allowed to get out from thier room. Over-all, one night stay inside the jungle will be a memorable for life. Food is good, purely bengali food, and offers good quantity. Food comes with a package with morning breakfast and dinner. Two hour jungle safari is there. One can take Elephant ride in morning with six people together on an elephant starts from morning 5 o\'clock for two hours. Spend one night and two days insde the nature with fresh wild air coupled with presence of wild animal, peace and silence. A special gift for the tourist during stay is \'you will hear sound of flowing water on Hollong river\'
