One of best hotel in upper Pelling with magnificent view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Comfortable rooms with all modern amenities like TV, geyser, cupboards. Nice hospitality and room service. Good in house restaurant with Bengali and other foods. Walking distance to helipad where 360° view available. Special to mention about Mr. Avijit, manager who always humbly solves all customer issues. Overall fully satisfactory stay at this Biswas grp of hotels with complete relaxation and fantastic views
I traveled to Pelling on a family holiday trip during the month of May 2017. I booked a room at this hotel directly when we reached the spot. The hotel region was very good with the surroundings. The view was beautiful. It was a bit far from the city. It was convenient. The appearance was excellent with the decorations. It was well maintained with the neatness. The reception was excellent with the administration. They completed the booking process properly and they responded on time. They were helpful and informative. The overall service was very good and very satisfactory. We took a deluxe room. It was clean and hygienic. The ambience and decorations were attractive. All the basic necessaries were in a clean and good condition. Hot water was provided and the bathroom was clean. The room service was good and they were on time. We took food. It had a very good taste and the quality was well maintained. It was well cooked and delicious. At that place no indoor and outdoor games. No extra amenities also. Our stay was very comfortable so I recommend this hotel to all other travelers.
We visited Pelling it was a family trip. We went there in the month of May 2017. We booked the room by online. We reached the hotel by own vehicle. We hired an external driver. I have no idea about separate rooms for the driver as the driver dropped us and left. There is no parking facility. We have to park in front of the road. The location is not at the city center it is a little bit wayward from the city center. The approach to the hotel is not good there are no proper roads. The appearance is beautiful. The exterior is good. And the interior is also fine. The front office responds well. They acknowledge our requests. The room service was excellent. We booked double bed room. The room is very clean and well maintained. They served warm water. They gave hot water facility in the washroom. The room was spacious. The food was alright. The quality of the food is not good. We took room service. There were amenities in the hotel. There is no playing area for children and no special arrangements for kids. For senior citizens there are a room facility arrangements for elders. I will suggest this hotel to others only thing is the hotelier has to improve the food quality.
Its a nice experience overall, I have visited on 31 December 2015 with my family in Hotel Simvo. First of all the mountains view from the rooms of the hotels are excellent. All the snow capped mountains views are excellent from the rooms. The rooms are neat & clean with superb service, and specially thanks to the manager Mr. Abhijeet Chandra with his warm welcome and helping us in every ways. The foods are good, served hot and the rooms was very fast. The location of the hotel is superb.
Checked in 11/03/2017 afternoon. Checked out 13/03/2017 morning. 3 couples, booked 3 super deluxe rooms with attached balcony and mountain view (601, 602, 603). Booked through Make My Trip. The view from room/ balcony is just stunning and NO OBJECTION AT ALL. But the positives ends here. We had good reviews about Simvo before booking. But we experienced the following -. 1) We were told 24 hours hot water availability, but during power cut we did not get it. They have power backup which allow a single light in each Super Deluxe room. All other electric options are nonfunctional that time. And we experienced a power cut from 11/03/2017 evening till check out. 2) Exactly same for charging points. I inquired other few hotels nearby. They said they don't allow charging during power cut (which is same here, so no issues). However geysers are operational and included in power backup system. 3) WiFi works only at the lobby/ reception area. 4) Televisions were not functional in either rooms (Super Deluxe). 5) Balcony door of room 601 was cracked at the point and very hard to lock fully. 6) Intercom did not work in room 601 and 603. The facilitators suggested an alternative electric switch but no one ever came whenever we pressed it. 7) You will get room cleaning if you ask for it. One towel is allowed in each double bedded room. 8) We checked in when it was raining. On that day they did not have laundry facility. So on request a clothe dryer was provided for Rs. 400 for the entire stay. But to our surprise they asked for Rs 400 per day for it. Swear they agreed for a total sum of Rs 400. And 12 and 13 March we could not use it because of power cut. 9) After checked in we ordered lunch and we were hungry and followed up the order 2-3 times. Instead of Egg Chicken noodles, they served Chicken noodles. And when we brought into notice, a boy came with a fresh Egg bhurji and suggested to mix it in the noodles. 10) We had complimentary breakfast with our booking. On 12/03/2017 morning it was really nice and tasty. But we had to check out at 07:30 on 13/03/2017, hence requested an early breakfast. They assured the breakfast would be ready by 06:30 but only bread-butter and omelet would be available. We were okay with this but at the time every kitchen staff was sleeping and at 07:10 we were served bread-butter but not omelet. Negotiated with that anyway. I have no personal fight with hotel Simvo. Even the readers can check my other reviews where I go loud with praising. But currently Simvo is far away from any kind of recommendation.
