Sophy's Resorts Reviews
Room is good and located at very good dense forest. But service is below average and washroom is a nightmare. Don't recommend it to anyone.. Really, bad service and poor cleanliness.. Not worth to spend much on such a stay..
I booked this for one of my friend and his family and they were completely got disappointed. When I asked for the rating 1 to 5, they recommended to go for 1 on 5 which proves the poor experience that they had there. They were the only family there and the level of service, break fast option were too bad.
The rooms were not at all as shown in the images here. There was no ventilation in there. Bugs and insects were in there as it was not maintained at all. The response of the manager was negative for any help in this regard.
Stayed there for 24 hours on 14th may, no Good road service to hotel, no hotel is not a good word for that, a lodge may be suitable .. Broken bathroom, No hanger in bathroom for clothes, no hot water, in food only dosa that too plain was available in night. In breakfast only idli . . GO only if you get it in less then 700 bucks ... Otherwise its yo....Read More
Hotel and hospitality was good and favourable but there was a small TV in room and I was quite boring over there. Toilets were small and the insects were fully roaming in toilets at night. I had good breakfast which was bought outside. (Note I had a good break fast). Small room, very simple hotel but the hotel s quite far from m. Are. Radha bunglaw
Location wise very peaceful, service also good but normal facilities are not available in deluxe room like cupboard, night lamp and toilets are too small. Fat person not able to bath comfortable, otherwise place is ok.
Very ordinary room, booked it because it was only available in MMT. No options for food, no options of travel, located interior, no parking, nothing good to talk about. Please don't suggest such rooms and make our holiday horrible.
Very bad experience. I chose this as the plan happened in the last minute and we didn't have any options. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here. The flush tank in the loo was broken, the cots are old and saw a few Cockroaches. Average food at exorbitant rates.
We went for 2 nights at Sophy's resort, the place is remote and road is very narrow, though it's adventurous but with kids it was not a safe place especially at nights. It's not at all value for money, the deluxe room that charged 1350 is very poor, no maintenance even fan doesn't work and bathrooms are so narrow you can't even stand. Breakfast the....Read More
Since no other hotel were available, I booked this place looking at the photos. Though the hotel is not too far off from the main road it's in a isolated place. The rooms look like some old hostel building. The toilet is just 1. 5ft wide and if you are any wider than this you won't fit in there. The staff were hopeless.

It was really great staying in Sophys resorts. In fact, I could not write my comments in their log book, as I had to rush to take my train in Salem. Now, let me say that this resort hotel deserves its fame for its locality. peaceful ambience, natural & safe atmosphere, curtious staff and delicious restaurant. The cycling inside the resort was really good.
The stay at the hotel was a total value for money for us. We got the room at under Rs. 1000/day. Although the room and the washroom was pretty small, it is a good fit if you plan to stay outside most of the time. The hotel staff are pretty friendly and helpful.
We had planned 6 people and booked lodge at 3400. (Per room 1700). During check in we had some tough time, they were asking 3800 though i had booked online. Had to bargain to settle it for 3500. Room floors, walls and bathrooms were clean and decent enough. Bedsheets were of ok - ok clean. Had faced power problems, Water heater was not available, room lights were not available. TV never switched on. We never tried food there apart from tea. Room service, even basic things like light bulbs, mosquito coil etc also not available. They provided them, when we explicitly asked. If this is the case of Super delux rooms just think about normal room. Suggestion: If you dont get anywhere else you can go. Look for alternatives.
I saw the reviews of this resort vary to the two extremes, and I write my review to help people choose correctly. We chose this resort, based on the recommendation from Stayzilla as an alternative to Tamilnadu hotel . We were a five member team all male office colleagues went for a weekend getaway. We booked a four bedded room with an extra bed, but we were shocked to see 2 tier bunker bed that can accommodate 3, and when we asked about the fourth bed, they showed the convertible sofa as the fourth bed. We could not accept a convertible sofa ( that too a very old worn out one) to be counted as a bed when we pay for a 4 bedded room, secondly the room and the bathroom was too small for 4 people. They should have called it a 3 bedded room. There were snails on the extra bed (not in the room) and bathroom cleanliness was not up to the mark. The first floor rooms are good and this resort is ideal for small families, looking for a budget stay. If you are a group of friends, looking to celebrate a weekend getaway or wish to spend too much time at the room, please be prepared to stay in very small rooms. Only people coming by own vehicles can access this place easily otherwise.Food was ok, not readily available, but prepared on order basis, which is common in all budget resorts. Staff were very helpful, they cleaned the room as many times we requested in a single day. Overall, concern is the size of the room for a bigger group , rest ok.
All together a fentastic stay in sophys resort and their resort itself is a site visit spot. It has got a veiw point/ camp fire, indoor games, and good restaurant.
This hill station is relatively less crowded and is an ideal place to be if you're tired of battling crowds to get a view of beautiful sunsets.HolidayIQ traveller Janani Karthikeyan from Chennai shares, ”Even though we can cover places in Yercaud
