Staff were very timely in attending our needs, food was really good especially fish. But there was no pool facility here. So, i advice them to arrange for the same. Also in the evening time they should start some cultural activities. Other adventure activities also they should arrange.
A decent hotel located in the heart of the town. Courteous staff especially the housekeeping team. The restaurant is well-maintained and serves all kinds of foods. The food quality as well as the presentation, cost and the taste needs special mention. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Parking space is very little and in open area. The hot sun of Hassen will heat up your vehicle and make it practically a hot oven. I recommend this hotel for all kinds of travellers and especially those want to taste good food at reasonable rate. The complimentary breakfast is also worth mentioning.
Our stay at Southern Star Hotel was comfortable. The front office staff were quite friendly and helpful. They were also knowledgeable and could direct to the places we wanted to visit properly. The restaurant attached was homely and the staff were attentive. The only drawback is that their lack of knowledge of any other Indian language except for Kannada which made communication a little difficult. There is also limited parking space inside the compound of the hotel.
Booked hotel southern star for a family outing. Had a comfortable stay at the hotel. Staff was very courteous and the service was prompt. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant Hoysala. Food served was very good and met our expectations. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hassan for a family outing or any business trip.
Hotel Southern Star is as good as can get in an uninspiring town like Hassan. I have stayed at the Suvarna Regency before, and like this place much better (although pricier, it is better value for money).
