Our stay in Sparsa Hotel was excellent. We were there on 23rd and 24 th November. The location of hotel is superb, one can clearly see the three different colours of the water of the three seas confluencing at Kanyakumari, from the hotel rooms. The hotel has good ambience and beautiful surroundings full of greenery. The hotel staff was highly courtious, helpful and forthcoming. The hotel restaurant offered a variety of South Indian and North Indian food cuisines. The hotel room including bathroom was absolutely clean and tidy. Tea and coffee maker was there. Room was quiet spacious with all the amenities. Swimming pool was there with neat and neat and clean water. Room service was very good. We really enjoyed our stay and wish to go there again. We also recommends this hotel to our friends and family to stay there.
The last time we visited Kanyakumari was before Tsunami happened !. Kanyakumari was one of the worst affected places by Tsunami, which has been rebuilt and restored now so much so that we failed to locate any signs of the disaster ! But the locals are full of it and show you and tell you the details. Sparsa Kanyakumari is a new resort that has been built after the disaster and as of now, it is probably the best place to stay in Kanyakumari. I was told that there was a little restaurant and a house at the spot and vast stretch of coconut garden, which was almost destroyed by the typhoon . It is located very close to the beach with a good view of sunrise and sunset from the roof top. It is ideally located with almost every room in the hotel having a superb view of the sea ..The staff service is good, very courteous. This happens at most new resorts as they need to build up their reputation., but one has to wait and watch how things shape up after that, that\'s where most hotels fail to make a mark. The classier ones maintain their standard of service , more so when they have built up a reputation. The check in process was very fast and the staff very enthusiastic, though we had arrived well after mid night, having lost our way a couple of times. The room service was excellent , the food arrive within 30 minutes. Thankfully the food was good, which is a major issue ,as I have said earlier Kanaya kumari has a bad reputation where good eating joints are concerned. The next morning we got to explore the premises and found it good, but I wouldn\'t compare it to a Grand Ashoka or The Tatas group of Hotels....It is comfortable , clean and well maintained. Being new had its advantages. The decor is O:K, nothing to get excited about. The hotel has been given a 4 star rating, though I am not still sure how they do it. I know the basic requirements. But I have felt that there is some loophole there where some hotels get rated higher and I feel that is the case here. I would think a 3 star is more like it .As I told earlier it doesn\'t compare with any of the classy hotels .
Set a little way out of the centre (but an easy walk along the coast road), the hotel is on the Arabian Sea side of the cape. The frangipani trees, which line the entrance, were in blossom when we stayed, their fragrance following us all the way up the path to the entrance. The hotel was altogether much nicer and intimate than I expected: attention to detail in the artwork scattered around the place and on the walls; immaculately clean common parts and room; pretty pool, surrounded by bamboo, palms and tropical plants. Charming.
This is the best hotel in Kanyakumari and probably the best I have visited so far. Went for vacation with family and I must say that this is good place to have a leisure with family. It has good sea side view and very close to beach. We had a chance to meet film stars at this place during our stay. Break fast was good, though dinner wasn't that great.
Hotels appearance and location are excellent. Hotel made in v shape and all the rooms are seaview and some rooms have seen vivekanand smarak of kanyakumari. Hotel have swimming pool. Breakfast is good mainly south indian with continental. The dinner are also good both south indian and continental quality of foods is very good. Staff are good helpful they provide us required information. Kanyakumari is a good religious place vivekanand smarak is milestone of Indian religion and its situated in last corner of south.
