We went to munnar for office trip. We stayed at spring Dale resort. This is located at devikulam ,5 kms before munnar. The resort owner is an 50 old person treated us well. We have ordered food over there. Morning they have given poori and night Chapathi. Food is very very cheap and the quality of the food is good only. Rooms were well cleaned . four members can stay a single room. They are providing extra bed also. Over all we have enjoyed over trip by staying spring Dale..
extra ordinary rest with best location with good atmosphere and hospitality. best quality of foods and respectable service with excellent hospitality. they provide extraordinary service like swimming , spa, gym, room services etc. we surely visit next time at Spring Dale Resort, Munnar.
The hotel (converted bunglow) is in Devikulam - a 6km away from Munnar town center. Highlights of this place are: calm and serene location, beautiful flower gardens all around the place and not a typical hotel feel. You feel you are at a friend's house. The staff are friendly. The food is made to order and taste is okay not so great, we used to have it from munnar town mostly. Recommended to have your own cab or car since you always need to make a 6km ride to Munnar town for everything.
We have been there with 2 families. Room service was terible. We will have to go out and shout for room service al the time. They will not attend simply by calling tbeir desk. Rooms were OK. Location was fantastic. Food we never had from them. Except tea coffie. Owner is nice person. But employees were like they have some attitude problem. You Can go there if u don't expect room service. Rooms were clean.
devikulam near munnar is a good destination. however you can get fooled by certain resorts with their very deceptive appearance. no service, bad smelly linen, forget about food. arrogant management.a guest house to be avoided at any cost. springdale resorts stands in front.
It was a New Year Eve 2014 vacation along with friends. We were travelling in our own vehicle. We had visited to Munnar on 1st Jan 2014 from Wayand. We had reached Munnar by 4 pm without any advance booking. So decided to search few resorts through HolidayIQ app, after much research we decide to call Spring Dale Resort. Dialled the contact number and happened to speak with reception Mr Victor, who was polite and courteous over the phone. We discussed about availability and prices. We were amazed to know that they were few rooms available at affordable price. We immediately rushed to the address given by Mr Victor. Basically it was away from Munnar town, about 5 to 10 km; somehow, we managed to reach the resort through the sign boards and address given. You can't get direct entry to the resort which means you can't take a right turn immediately. You have to go ahead, take a reverse and come back to enter the main entrance of the resort. When we reached the parking, it was almost full it was a small place to park vehicle, somehow managed to park the vehicle in corner and walked towards the front office. We met Mr. Victor over there as mentioned he was polite and courteous to explain the tariff again and showed us all the available rooms. Finally we decide to opted the ground floor room which was big enough for 5 members with 2 bed rooms, hall, 2 bath rooms, an LCD TV. Staff helped us to get the luggage. Rooms were good as per the tariff paid. I think bathrooms should have been more advance like the shower was not available but it was manageable with 24/7 hot water. Coffee that we ordered was great, tasted like typical Coorg coffee. Food was provided in the resort but we preferred to have it in Munnar town. Staffs were friendly, appearance of the hotel was very good and they had all wooden interior and good furniture in the reception. Check in and checkout was quick, beds were very cosy, Stayed for a night here as we had plans to visit Kodaikanal next day. Over all it’s a decent resort at a affordable price. We liked it and will visit again in the future.
It is one of the best hotels I have ever visited. Very very calm, quite and extremely beautiful place with great natural surroundings. I think the Bamboo house was not available although it is tagged in the photo here. The staff was very very much cooperative, talkative, caring warm especially the manager over there who made our honeymoon stay memorable. Food order is supposed to be given in advance and food served was heavenly. chicken kerala style was very rich with whole kerala spices and elegant flavours and fresh as never before. I still remember the taste even after 10 months of stay. This place is 8-10 Kms far from Munnar city and very cool with abundant natural scenic beauty all around. Truly best hotels I have ever stayed especially for those who afford not very high budget and love homely atmosphere away from home.....
Welcoming smiles all the way when we enter the resort, hassle free and quick check in, I booked it via travalguru, resort manager Mr. Vimal and other hotel staff were ready to help and 24*7, especially Ram and his colleague, neat and clean rooms, I booked 2 suit rooms, they are newly constructed on first floor.
