The
St.CatherineFalls is actually two waterfalls; lower
and upper falls.They are situated at
about 5 km from Kothagiri enroute to Mettupalayam
Road.
The upper fall which cascades down a height of
250 feet is the second largest waterfall in the Nilgiris region. The falls are
surrounded by beautiful views of forest and woodlands, tea plantations and the
Mettupalayam plains.
St.CatherineFalls can be spotted from the top of Dolphin's Nose. For a
truly spectacular view, take the road that leads to the top of the falls. This
vantage point offers a downward perspective of the fall and its surrounding
area.
