Stayed in Room 20 on the first floor from 12 June -16 June 11.Room service was prompt.Room was comfortable (Suite Double) with an extra cot for my son.Breakfast & tea was promptly served in the room whenever ordered.Reception was prompt.Hot water was available from 7 AM onward.But it is not available after 12 in the afternoon.It was specially irritating to note that hot water was not available in the evenings;

Best Experience: Room service was prompt.

Worst Experience: No parking was the rudest shock. Also no pick-up/drop facility which most such hotels offer. Meals were very expensive.We prefferred Chandni Chowk next door on The Mall.Room waiter was expecting too much tip.

Ne and my husband went for our 2nd honeymoon there and it was as good as as our 1st one.........the location of the hotel is very convenient, located right on the mall and very close to the bus stand!

Best Experience: We went in the month of june and since it was peak season, the shops use to open till 10 pm, had lots of varieties to eat, chaat, jor garam, corns etc, we both use to walk at the mall till 10 - 1030 PM and last but not the least.....excellent weather, it was just great!

Worst Experience: None!

The overall experience was quite good . Rooms are spacious and the service is very good.

Best Experience: Waiters and helpers are polite and eager to go that extra mile to make you feel comfortable.

Worst Experience: Flooring has carpets which are a little shabby , they are planning to replace it iwth wooden flooring.

The hotel was very big & rooms were very big we enjoyed staying at Elphinstone Hotel

Worst Experience: The bad experience was food.We were pure vegeterian

Given our one day stay, we wanted a hotel on the mall itself. Elphinstone was ideal and though the room allotted to us was rather small, it was adequate. The bathroom was fairly big and very clean. We did not try out any food there or avail of any travel related services - so can\'t comment on that.

Best Experience: The good location (right on the mall, overlooking the lake); the friendly and prompt service rendered by the attendants.

Worst Experience: There was no running hot water in the room. They did, however, provide it separately in buckets. Also, they had not kept an extra set of blankets (which is usually done in winters) in the room.
