I had booked Sterling Holidays Villagio when I had been to Salcette during the month of February 2017. It was my holiday trip with alone. I would rate the destination as good. The hotel location was good with necessary availables at the nearest. The appearance of the hotel was average. The staff at the reception was average. I booked my room direct at hotel. The house keeping services in the hotel were good because of responsible quick service. Rooms which we stayed in were good with facilities and hygiene. The food which was served in the hotel was good, we can have a large menu of items.
I stayed in this hotel in the month of December for holiday visit with friends and family. The destination was really good, location of the hotel was quite comfortable, not very far from the city. The lobby was excellent, the hotel looked really good. The staff were cordial, neat and clean front office. The room was excellent, spacious for four to five people to stay, comfortable and good lighting. Quality and taste of the food was really good. There was complimentary breakfast.
The hotel was the best boutique resort I ever visited. We were greeted by them in proper manner. Environment of this resort was calm and peaceful. It was located in beautiful greenery area. Services were customized as per our needs and demand. The food was awesome and tasty. It was worthy to pay high price for these services.

We stayed in Goa for three nights and Monsoon in Goa made our stay worth cherishing. We traveled to Goa from Mumbai by afternoon and took a prepaid taxi to our resort. We checked with him if he could take us around for a short sightseeing trip, but refused as Taxi union at the resort won't allow him to take clients. We have to avail their service compulsory. Alternately you could hire a scooter or a rental car for your travel. The front desk and housekeeping staff at the resort were prompt and excellent with their service. The food at the restaurant was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet and the dinner. The resort is located in South Goa, a bit remote. The closest Beach was Betalbatim Beaches which was clean and untouched by the crowd. The nearest popular Beach was Colva Beach. The rooms were well-maintained and clean, including the bathroom. Our room had a balcony overlooking the greenery and the pool. There was swimming pool and indoor games to keep the kids engaged, while you pamper yourself in the in house spa with an Ayurvedic massage. Overall, the monsoon, the pleasant stay and Beaches made our holiday memorable.
The place is very nice, calm and quite. It's a good place if you want to relax and come back refreshed. The staff were very cooperative and hospitable. The food is also very good and very tasty. There are many activities for everyone and especially for the kids. Definitely, recommended for a good break from the daily marathon and the service rendered by the whole team is good.
We stayed here for 02 days during our Goa tour. A good hotel located in south Goa only 30 mins from airport. The appearance of hotel is good. On arrival you will be welcomed with drinks. The hospitality is amazing. The rooms were also very nice, spacious and clean with necessary amenities. The resort has pool which is well maintained. The food quality is also excellent, north Indian food available and that too yummy. Another positive point is that you get buses just in front of resort if you want to travel to other parts of Goa. The beach is near to resort. Overall it was a enjoyable stay for us. Recommended for travellers visiting south Goa.
I had been there in Goa and I stayed in Villagio, A Sterling Holidays Resort with friends, it was relaxation trip. I did not find any issues in locating the hotel and booking system was good. The room allotted to me was good and it was well maintained with all basic amenities in working condition. There was a good view from the room. The behaviour of the staffs in the hotel was good and they were helpful, and there was no delay in check in and checkout. The external and internal appearance of the hotel was good. I ate food in the hotel restaurant and it was good in taste and in quality. There were activities organised by the hotel. The destination was good and the stay in the hotel was value for money, and I will recommend this hotel to other travellers.
Our experience at Villagio, South Goa has been HORRIBLE. We travelled in a group of 5 couples and had planned 3 days in North Goa & 2 days in South Goa. We had placed all of our bookings in South Goa at Villagio - A Sterling resort about 50 days in advance. The complete payment was made in advance by us. On the day we were supposed move from North Goa TO South Goa & check-in @ Villagio hotel, we received a call late in the evening from Villagio hotel manager - "Manish"(when our check-in time has already passed by 5 hours !! Who informed us that a complete block of the hotel is under maintenance as a result of which they wouldn't be able to provide us the rooms. We decided to go to Villagio Hotel to speak to the manager & sort out the matter. TO OUR SURPRISE (& SHOCK) WE FOUND OUT THAT THE BLOCK UNDER MAINTENANCE HAD BEEN ALLOCATED TO DEFENCE EXPO RESERVATIONS THAT WAS HAPPENING DURING THAT WEEK !!! The hotel management was FLATLY LYING on the maintenance reason. On learning this information we challenged Villagio staff to show us the block under maintenance. This request was again denied. So probably what happened is - Villagio Hotel Management gave our (& probably other folks) reserved rooms to some foreign customers who were willing to PAY MORE as a part of the block deal. The most disappointing thing here is the complete UNPROFESSIONAL & UNETHICAL hotel management that gave importance to earn MONEY rather than CUSTOMER LOYALTY. Villagio hotel offered us ONLY 2 properties in NORTH Goa. We again & again tried to explain to Villagio Hotel manager - "Manish" that all of 2 days activities were planned in South Goa. So North Goa was NOT a viable option for us. But he failed to understand this fact repeatedly. Only available option in South Goa was some 5 star properties that Villagio was NOT willing to compensate. Ultimately we had to search on our own and settle down for a hotel in Panjim. Again we had to do at least 30 - 40 follow-ups for getting the payment for this NEW hotel reimbursed with Villagio hotel management. Overall, our experience with Villagio in South Goa has been HORRIBLE. NOT only our entire trip plan was disrupted, the HOTEL management did NOT even have the courtesy to talk to us politely and follow up with us to check on the arrangement in the alternate hotel that we had booked. VERY UNEXPECTED & SAD for a big chain like Sterling Holidays. . Tripadvisor.
