We stayed at Manali STERLING Holiday . Fantastic location with great views. The service was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly people and were always ready to help. The food was great, especially dinner with a wide variety of choices. Hot tea and milk were availlable at all times which was very helpful especially with the cold weather outside. Highly recommended.

"Hotel rooms were small and staff are good "

6.5/7
Posted 1 Jan, 2015

I went there with my family in the month of May. I did book my room through Makemytrip. Location wise, the hotel was located far from the city. Greenery was available in the surrounding of the hotel. behaviour of the staff members was fine and they gave on time services. Room was congested for four members. All basic amenities were functioning properly. AC was not required in the room. Pillow, washroom and other things were in clean condition. Pick up and drop facility was arranged by travel agent. Staff of the hotel was cleaning the room regularly. 24 hours hot and cold water facility was there. Check-in and check-out facility was not delayed. Outer and inner look of the hotel was good. I preferred my food inside the hotel and it was fine. Activities were available there but it was not included in my package. They did not organize sightseeing trip for us. Overall, my stay there was fine. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends. They should be increasing the varieties of food like North Indian, etc.

The resort is located around 10 mins drive from the Manali town, bus stand. Although it doesnt boast of any large front view of greenery (unlike its neighbour star hotel), once inside, the services are great which is typical of any Sterling group we have visited earlier... What we liked is the view from the bedroom which opens to the nearest snow capped mountain, we could see snow building up with rains and towards evening, most of the mountain gets covered and with day light, the snow starts melting out....natures beauty was here to be enjoyed and experienced right from the resort room....The food was hygienic and tasty, their chilli-cheese bread toast became a favourite dish for my daughter ever since. Having access to the internet at the resort at that location was very helpful in our time of need, ofcourse with a little extra cost...

"Food was not comfortable for Jain"

7.0/7
Posted 1 Jan, 2015

Hotel was good and I did not face any difficulty to find this hotel. Surrounding of the hotel was nice. Inside and outside look of the hotel was fine. Staff behaviour was friendly. I liked the services of this hotel. Room was well-furnished and Mountain View was visible from the room balcony. Staff of the hotel was cleaning the room regularly. I took my food outside the hotel because this food is not suitable for Jain peoples. Booking and front office services were prefect. Furniture and other things were well maintained. I belong from Ahmedabad. Activities were available there DJ, table tennis, etc. I visited there with my family. I can recommend this hotel to other travellers. Money spend there was valuable. As a destination, Manali place is fantastic.

"Arriving at Manali after a long road journey, with..."

Arriving at Manali after a long road journey, with kids, we were thankfully escorted to our room in quick time. The room, located on the 3rd floor was very difficult to access, for elders, as there was no lift ! Putting this behind us, i quickly decided to draw the curtains open to look for the mountains, having read so much about them right here at India Resort Survey and ...well...with a strained neck i managed to spot the snow-caps in all their glory! Fabulous site ! But if one were to look down from the 3rd floor, the site was pathetic, to say the least. (More about that in \'My Worst Experience\' below!) Sadly the property dint have much open area to hand out in, but a small neatly landscaped lawn. Breakfast was a disaster (i strongly suggest that one avoids their buffet breakfast!), while the food served at dinner was quite ok. Recreational activities ? Another disaster ! Best is to just enjoy the mountains. The weather during the 2nd week of May, was quite warm during the days and at nights just a full-sleeved shirt was quite comfy. Restaurants to visit : \'Cafe River Music\', near Club House and \'Brook Song Flower Garden\', on the Naggar Road, past Sterling! Ambience at these 2 places was absolutely fantastic!
