This place is very nice to stay. The location of this resort is perfect for romantic and beach holiday. We stayed in sea view room which was superb. This room was perfect for Sunrise and Sunset. Also there were water sports activities at the beach which could be seen from room. Staff was nice and cooperative, we enjoyed there a lot.
The resort is located on the Ghoghla Beach-Diu as matter of fact the back exit of the resort is right on the beach. Ghoghla being little bit away of proper Diu town, the crowd is less. Hence we enjoyed the sea swim to our best. The rooms are neatly kept and properly soft furnished. The swimming pool is also neatly maintained. The sea facing swings of the resort keeps us fresh during night hours. The food quality is good though the continental cuisines has the Gujarati touch. The menu also carries more of Indian snacks rather than normal preferred ones.
6 couples decided to go to Diu in short notice. Like 2 days before Ramadan, and the holiday season was crazy. Somehow we got place in Sugati Resort. Our main purpose was to hang out with friends and grab a few drinks and sleep. The food was really good. I had egg curry and chicken tikka, good according to the Punjabi taste rather than the Gujarati sweet palette. It had a big pool really neat and tidy. A lifeguard was there at all times. They gave us swim wears with any cost. The resort was sea facing. From the pool we could see the sea. Sea was brown but, who cares, it was a pretty site. They had placed benches and "jula" to sit, at the resort, facing the sea. Resort rooms were like from a 70s movie. Bed was soft and comfortable and chairs looked as if they have been using it for over decades. Still everything was neat and tidy. Book the place as early as possible. At some holidays it gets crazy difficult to get room at the Sugati. Everything was perfect according to my planning. However, the only problem we faced was that we reached resort at 7am and our check-in time was 12noon. They let us in the pool though and we have brunch there but, still reaching at noon might have been a better option.
I felt good there. It was easy to travel. Staff behaviour was professional, cooperative, and helpful in that hotel. Food was good. They provided both veg and non-veg food there. Restaurant was there. Per day charges of the hotel room was Rs. 3500. There was no delay at the time of check-in and check-out. Overall, I was happy with the hotel. Swimming pool, gym, indoor and outdoor games were available in that hotel. Sightseeing trip was organized by them but we did not take it. I travelled there with family in November 2011. Diu is an excellent place. Location wise, it was very good. Booking and front office services were also very good. Appearance of the hotel was very good. Service and room were also very good. Food and drink was very good. Activities were good. Overall hotel was value for money and recommendable also.
I had gone to Diu in December 2014. It is a quaint and charming place where you can enjoy nature at its best. We stayed at Sugati Beach Resort. Which is located on Ghogla beach. Though the beach is not a private property of resort, but since it is at a little distance (2-3Km) from the main city, it gives the feel of a private beach and you can enjoy the serenity of the sea without getting distracted by the hulahula of tourists. The staff is courteous and the rooms are quite spacious. We choose the ocean facing rooms and it was wonderful looking at the sea drinking tea in the balcony. The beach is absolutely litter free. A private vendor provides activities like para sailing, horse riding, motor boat riding, and dolphin sighting. Swimming pool is neat and clean, though not very big. They also provide swimming costumes if you don't have one. The food is good.
