Sun Sea Resort Reviews
The look of the hotel was good. The rooms in this hotel were good to dwell in with fine amenities. This hotel is located in the city. It was my trip for relaxation purpose. Room was good with amenities available in the hotel. No activities available in the hotel. The staff were good in this hotel with services provided. Parking was available in the hotel. Activities were not seen in this hotel. The food served in the hotel was good to eat.
We were four of us stayed in Sun Sea Resort, we really impressed to stay in this hotel. From Kolkata and my tour operator had choose the right hotel. Rooms are clean, good blanket and big pillows. Had some nice Breakfast in the restaurant. Very convenient and in heart of the city. Staff are very nice and the front desk staff are very good.
I had visited this hotel with my family. The food service was not done on time. The activity was not available in the hotel. The overall experience was good in the hotel. I would suggest this hotel to improve the service. The hotel was located in the city. The hotel appearance was nice. The check in and checkout process was done on time. All basic amenities were provided in working condition in the room. The allotted room was neat and clean. The food quality and quantity was good at the hotel. I would like to recommend this hotel for other travellers.
Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. Staff was very polite. Breakfast they served was good. Rooms were kept very neat. Location is perfect. Got an affordable vegetarian eat-out just in front of the hotel. Overall, a nice experience. Weather was nice in February when we visited.
The hotel was near to seashore. The hotel was conveniently located. The staff’s behaviour was nice. The interior and exterior of hotel was good. The food was good both in veg and non veg and it was reasonable. The room was good with all the amenities were working properly and we had good view from the room. The check in and checkout was done flexibly. Activities were not there in the hotel. The hotel didn’t organize sightseeing trip. I would recommend this hotel to others. The hotel was value for money.
I and my family happened to visit Port Blair. Somebody else did the booking of travel and accommodation. We landed in the Sun Sea Resort and no regrets for choosing this place. It is located in a quieter side of the town. Outside did not look very appealing. The reception and lounge is simple. Two nights we have stayed in the ground floor. For these rooms, i should say it is not the best. It is clean and comfortable. Next two nights we stayed in the second floor. Rooms are far better than the ground floor. Only short coming is the lift not available for coming down. We oldies had to walk down the stairs. Restaurant is good.

From the condemned island during ther British era, the Andamans have turned into a tourists paradise. The hotel is centrally and ideally located and a great location for shopping. (Hubbies beware!) All the showrooms selling corals, pearls and shells and articrafts are lined opposite the Hotel within a distance of 200 mts. including the Govt. one - the Sagarika. The rooms are neat and clean and the ambience is good. The staff are friendly and serve with a smile. The food is pallatable (breakfast free - a decent buffet with an option of a great lemon tea) and if one wants to step outside, the options are plenty within a walking distance. The bar is well stacked (my wife is staring) and tariff is reasonable. Since the hotel is in the heart of the city, rooms are not sea facing, but that is a blessing in disguise. After exhausting oneself in the beaches, one would actually look forward to relaxing in a room with family. For recreation, one has to watch the TV only; but for bookaholics, Dist. Central Library is closeby (100 mt in the same row)
My overall experience was awesome in this hotel. I stayed for three nights in this hotel. I went there with my family for sightseeing. I reached the hotel easily. Location was very nice. Hotel was located near to the sea beach. Rooms were well-furnished, neat and clean. Sea view was available from the room window. AC, TV and other basic amenities were available. Appearance was modern type. Behaviour of the staff was friendly and services were fast. Check-in and check-out process was smoothly. Food was tasty. Indoor and outdoor activities were not there. This is a recommendable hotel for travellers.
Planned to visit Port Blair with my wife. Booked the normal executive AC room at Sun Sea Resort over phone. The location was nice. The people at the reception and the staff were very courteous. The bedroom as well as the bathroom was clean and presented a fresh look. There was a 19" TV in the room (not LED, but TV is not an issue when you are there to wander). Rooms got cleaned every day. The bed tea and breakfast was complimentary. Food at the restaurant including the complimentary breakfast was tasty. We stayed there for 3 nights then moved to Havelock. Due to the pleasant experience at Sun Sea Resort, we booked it for another night on our return journey from Havelock. This time we were provided with a deluxe suite at the same price of the executive room. I had also read about mosquito problems in Andaman, but we did not face any such problem, even if we opened the windows in the evening. They also provided some flexibility in the check-out time. Overall experience was excellent. The tariff is pretty reasonable. I will definitely stay here again, if ever I had a chance to visit Andaman again. One important suggestion, I would like to add, not only for this particular resort, but to all resorts/ hotels at sea beach destination, is that, they should provide a balcony or an outside protruding window to facilitate for drying of clothes (because near the beaches, its definite that you get wet daily). Andaman is like a dream destination for me. I loved the calmness of the place. All the beaches were neat and tidy. I would love to settle there.
I did not find any difficulty in finding the hotel. This was located in the heart of the city. So I find it very comfortable location. The appearance of the hotel has been just good not excellent. I faced some delay in check-in and check-out procedure, but it was fine for me. The room that was provided to me was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. Amenities were provided in the room. But the Ac that was provided in that room was an old one. So its temperature was fluctuating automatically. There was no view available from the room. I was not very much happy with the room. The staff of this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Their services were also good. Food was provided by the hotel. They provide both veg and non-veg foods. The quality and taste of the food was excellent. No activities were provided at the hotel. I had been there with my family.
I stayed there for 3 to 4 days. I did not face any problem in finding the hotel. I visited there with my family for roaming around in May 2014. I reached there comfortably. Everything was good in surroundings. Shopping mall was near to the hotel. Staff behaviour was good there. They were attending our requests on time. No delay in check-in and check-out time. Appearance wise, it was good. Interiors and maintenance was very good there. Room allotted was spacious, neat and clean. They did not change the bed sheets and pillows daily. All the amenities were working properly. View was available from the room. They regularly cleaned the room. Water facility was available there for 24 hours. I liked the food quality. Indian food was provided by them. I took veg food there. Price wise, it was reasonable. No activity was there. Sightseeing was not organized by them. Finally, destination is value for money. It is a recommendable hotel. No improvement is needed.
