Hotel Review of Sterling Resorts-Swamimalai
Comments: This is a beautiful resort, and if you are new to India or South India, would feel incredibly authentic.
Best Experience: The landscaping and decor are simply outstanding.
Worst Experience: We REALLY had problems with the food. First of all, everything had garlic and in an age where most Indian restaurants offer a Jain options, we did not expect to be explaining ourselves in a heritage site in Swamimalai of all places. Secondly, it was almost all North Indian food, and not very good food. All this would have just been adventure, if most of our group had not come down with mild food poisoning on the last day. Really, everything else about this resort is so nice, this was very, very disappointing.

We stayed here for 1 night - had heard a lot about this place and it did not disappoint. Its pretty much in the middle of nowhere - unless you are on a temple pilgrimage (and there are lots of them around !). Within the resort, its very nice - its designed like a village with nice cottages and decent rooms - clean with all the modern facilities and well kept.
