I am already a big fan of Taj hotels and resorts, I have been to many Taj hotels but this hotel is one of my favourite, I stayed in palace rooms which are on first floor of palace, this palace is located in middle of lake pichola of Udaipur. Once you reach to hotel after taking boat from one bank, you feel just awesome, the view from rooms were awesome. We booked 2 palace rooms and there was private passage between two rooms which was only accessible by my family members which was the best thing, you can spend whole day in private passage area between two rooms. We got our rooms with living area attached, the clean bathrooms were made of pure white marbles, there were small windows in rooms from where you can see lake water all around, there is Jagmandir which is also located in lake pichola and can be accessible by Taj hotel's own boat.

We got one guide who told us history of lake palace and Udaipur, there was jiva spa which helps you in relaxation and it is the speciality of Taj hotels, there was dance programme every day in evening, in which 2 dancers and 2 instrument players entertain you for whole 1 hour, there is one cloth shop inside lake palace hotel where you can find wide variety of Rajasthani clothes at good price and with good quality material also, the staff of hotel is always polite, the food quality is always awesome, there are 3 restaurants, two are on ground floor and one is on terrace, there is separate bar which was used to be king's own bar, What Else I say about lake palace, if you really want to feel like a prince or princess then you Must Visit This Place. It's like divine place which leaves you breathless.

It isn't often that one arrives via boat and under the shower of rose pedals to a hotel but this is the case with Taj Lake Palace. I stayed here with my wife for three nights on a summer package which offered great value compared to simply booking a room. We had breakfast, a massage, a private dinner, astrologer session, palace tour, airport transfer all included with a lake view room. We made use to see the evening performance of dancers (you receive free nibbles with each drink) and what I would really recommend is the early morning Yoga (free). Unfortunately, the palace has a lot of pigeons enjoying the time on the roof which can be a bit of a nuisance and constant cleaning is under way to keep it nice for guests. Please note that if your room has a door into the courtyard we heard quite a lot of birds chirping in the middle of the night as they sit in the trees for a while. Luckily, this didn't bother us too much. We enjoyed being woken by the flute player and enjoyed the large elegant room. Service was impeccable and the food was great. Breakfast buffet is comparably small simply because they expect you to order freshly made to order items (included). We also made use of the boat service (small charge) to the nearby pleasure island for sightseeing and the jetty is very close to the city palace entrance, ideal for sightseeing.

Having stayed in other Taj hotels, this hotel stands out for it's great service, location and beautiful architecture. I would recommend to stay the three nights as then you can really enjoy all parts of the hotel; we used the pool, the jacuzzi, the small gym, tried both restaurants (portions are filling enough so no need to order too much), the yoga and walks around the palace. Staff is very proud about the quality and we even got a free taster of some food and had a peak into one of the luxurious suites.

The amenities and the service is excellent and couldn't be describe in words. Awesome experience and everyone should go visit at least once. The most awesome thing about the hotel is, the view and the atmosphere in and around the hotel. It just makes you feel relaxed and happy. Really a good place to be in for holiday.

Planned to visit my aunt in Nathdwara during weekend. Somehow sneaked in one day for Taj Lake Palace.

From the wellcome itself they make you feel special, like a king and queen. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Rose petal shower with a royal umbrella over us was great.

Booked luxury room with lake view. Room was just awesome with a view so stunning which can't be described in words.

Food was nice & yes they have Rajasthan folk program in the evening.

Words can't never be enough to describe such refreshing experience. But overall what goes strongly in favour is its jaw dropping structure, beautiful maintenance & of course the history connected with this.

Next time will surely extend my stay here.

I had stayed at this property of Taj quite a month back and it was good experience and we had a lifetime experience with quality of rooms, services, etc. The hotel was near the Pichola lake and it was one of the finest and the best experiences of the life and I must say that we enjoyed completely.

Superb palace like hotel is located at Lake pichola at Udaipur. Hotel is massive with service of top class. It is a experience of lifetime, with the type of services and facilities provided. Once entered in hotel there is no time for outer world, you will end up staying in the hotel as there are so many activity options. Real leisure time at this, if you visit Udaipur must a stay in this hotel if Budget permits.

This is the most effective place to remain in Republic of India. I cannot applaud the edifice and its employees enough for creating our keep within the Lake palace really wizardly. The amazing service started the instant we have a tendency to got off the plane in Udaipur. Our field transfer wasn't there that I had organised from our agent, however no worries. The hotel had sent two cars to the Airport just in-case something like this happens.
