Top Reviews of Taj Mahal Palace
The Place said as Memory of Eternal Love and is a Historical monument. The Taj Mahal, more often /ˈtÉ‘ËÊ’/; Persian for Crown of Palaces) is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Maugham emperor, Shah Jahan (reigned 1628-1658), to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahala. The tomb is the centrepiece of a 42-acre complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall. Construction of the mausoleum was essentially completed in 1643 but work continued on other phases of the project for another 10 years. The Taj Mahala complex is believed to have been completed in its entirety in 1653 at a cost estimated at the time to be around 32 million rupees, which in 2015 would be approximately 52. 8 billion rupees (US$827 million). The construction project employed some 20, 000 artisans under the guidance of a board of architects led by the court architect to the emperor, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. The Taj Mahala was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 for being "the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage". Described by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore as "the tear-drop on the cheek of time", it is regarded by many as the best example of Maugham architecture and a symbol of India's rich history. The Taj Mahala attracts 7-8 million visitors a year. In 2007, it was declared a winner of the New7Wonders of the World initiative.

I stayed in this hotel in the month of May 2015. The hotel is really fantastic. It's service is very good. Everything is available. It is very clean and fit to stay in. No one will ever regret after choosing this hotel. Facilities provided by this hotel is realy fabulous. All the rooms are well-designed and well-arranged. Cleanliness is the best thing here. Toilets are clean and well-designed bathroom. Well-behaved staff. The location of the restaurant is also very easy to find. WiFi service is also provided. I would love to stay in this hotel again. Whenever I will book a hotel, this hotel will be my first preference.
I stayed here for 2 nights with my friends. From check-in process to checkout their care is best. Amazing Staff and very much helpful. Best part is the luxurious Sea Link that you get to see from your room. You can get the room as per availability as per your preferences. It's located where you may find some celebrities nearby. Some Bollywood stars reside in nearby locality. Hotel has a wide space for you all time to relax yourself. You have lot to enjoy the beach as well. As per the standard it's expensive so keep your pockets full because it's gonna take a lot of money. Hotel restaurant food is really yummy. Internet speed is very fast. Overall a Royalty stay in this hotel.
I visited this hotel in November 2015. The reason I visited this hotel was to propose to my girlfriend. The hotel is majestic. Gives an aura of old world charm coupled with modern day amenities. I had booked myself in a corner suite in the hotel. The room was big. The bathroom even bigger. The bathroom had a separate shower cubicle and a huge tub plonked right in the centre of the bathroom. Still the bathroom looked humongous. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. There was a dining table and sofa in the living room. The hotel is a luxurious one. The pool side is very serene. Not the biggest swimming pool you would come come across. Since, we were checked into the junior suite it comes with it's own privileges like cocktail hour and cognac tasting. From 8pm to 9pm they had cocktail hour where you could drink as much as wanted on the house. This was followed by cognac tasting between 9pm and 10pm. The hotel also a varied number of restaurants from Indian to Japanese to Lebanese. We ate at Wasabi which is their Japanese restaurant the food was to die for but as expected very very pricey. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and everyone seemed to know my name. Would definitely recommend this hotel for people when they visit Mumbai. A tip would be make the most of your stay here at the Taj by spending more time in the hotel because it isn't cheap.
