About Talasari

voted as clean

Talsari is located close to both the Subarnarekha River and the sea. It is some 6 km from Digha, near the Orissa-Bengal border and is a small delta. The beach at Talsari is a lesser known one and the waters are calm and peaceful.

"An excellent Beach near Digha" new review

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted 3 weeks ago
I recommend everyone who come to Digha in holidays to visit Talasari Beach for its scenic beauty. The River Subarnarekha meets Bay of Bengal here. The delta formed in between river and sea creates natural beauty. Boats were available for tourists to go in the Delta, and it was an amazing experience.

Awesome experience, loved it and would like to visit again in winter with friends. Try seeing sunrise and sunset both, purchase a ball on way to the beach and play along with friends and family in the water or at the beach.

The beach is crowd free, clean, the speciality of the beach is this is a backwater beach and small red crabs are found here which is spread in the beach.

"Calm sea and cluster of beaches"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted 2 months ago
There are a cluster of beaches on the coastline of Bay of Bengal near Digha. Talsari is one such beach, it is peaceful, very less crowded and the sea is calm here. Though Talsari is in Odisha, it is only 9 kms from Digha.

"Excellent beach but surprisingly few people"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted 3 months ago
Talsari Beach is famous for its beautiful Red Crabs inhabitants. These shy crabs will make you go wow, but it is advised to not to disturb those creatures. This place is as close to nature, it can be. It is advised to visit the place in broad daylight as it doesn't have proper lighting facilities. Take water with you to remain hydrated.

"Future sight"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Oct 22, 2015
Talsari located in Orissa state, so a cultural and many more facility required to be a good tourist attraction. So I have mentioned it as a future tourist spot. The beach is not worthy for bathing, yes who likes low tide then it can be a good place. But you have to walk about 800 meter distance to reach beach side.

"Like a small island"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Aug 13, 2015
This beach is good but not for all, it's like a small island and nothing to see there, but it is also a good place. But I, personally did not like this place that much but if you're in there 1st time then you must go there for a quick view.

"Just stand and watch how a river meets the sea"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Aug 7, 2015
You can have some very good and precious time at Talasari, seeing how the river meets the sea. There are few stationary boats here and they are increasing the scenic beauty manifold. You can also have some fresh coconut water from the makeshift dabbawalas. Do not forget to carry sunglasses or umbrellas while coming to Talasari.

"A beach with calmness"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted May 7, 2015
Love to spend some time in Talsari. It gives some relaxed feelings. 2 hour distance from Digha. Best place to spend some lonely time and a great outing. I found some cheap hotel nearby Talsari which was not a good hotel.
