Tannirubhavi Beach lies in the Mangalore City, at a distance of 21 km from Surathkal. The 220 MW power plant can be seen nearby the beach, which has been established by the Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao (GMR) Group. The beach can be reached through ferry, available from the Gurupura River. The ideal time to visit this beach is between the months of October and February.
