Tarkarli food, sight-seeing and shopping options
while in tarkarli, one should not miss the sindhudurg fort sight seeing and the most amazing expereince of snorkelling. They charge Rs.250/- per person for 30 mins. The karli river back water and dolphin ride is a must. Lucky ones would spot some dolphins for sure.Also don't miss the nivti and bhogve rocks boat ride.
In Malwan, 6 kms from tarkarli, pls have veg as well as fish thali only in hotel chaitanya in the main market area...truly fantastic and resonable.You can buy the malvani spices, kaju etc stuff from the local shops there.

Hotel Review of Saagar Sangam
Comments: We have just visited Tarkarli and stayed at sagar Sangam Hotel. The hotel rooms were comfortable and the cook was good. This is expected as the hotel charge is the highest in Tarkarli. Not even MTDC charges this much. We do not mind paying the charge as long as the comfort is concerned. Even with this charge we are not given drinking water without cost. In all hotels of India two bottles of mineral water are given everyday free of cost. Considering we are staying in India where we are proud to say 'ATiTHI DEVO BHABHA' i am surprised your hotel do not even offer water. the owner was never seen. The manager was sometimes seen. The others were locals who were just managing the show. They were not even properly dressed. Since you are charging an amount equivalent to any good hotel you must also provide facilitiies as par that. there was tremedous power cut and the power back up was not on as we were the only guest in the hotel. Considering value for money i hope only two three guest will be present at one time. In such case i would suggest you place invertors for each room and make the power back up independent to all rooms.

I had just been to tarkarli.Saagar sangam hotel is the best place to stay.The rooms are very nicely designed and well maintained.View from the rooms is fabulous.hotel staff is very cooperative and helpful.the rooms are very clean and beautifully designed.great value for money!...
