Tarkarli food, sight-seeing and shopping options
while in tarkarli, one should not miss the sindhudurg fort sight seeing and the most amazing expereince of snorkelling. They charge Rs.250/- per person for 30 mins. The karli river back water and dolphin ride is a must. Lucky ones would spot some dolphins for sure. Also don't miss the nivti and bhogve rocks boat ride. In Malwan, 6 kms from tarkarli, pls have veg as well as fish thali only in hotel chaitanya in the main market area...truly fantastic and resonable. You can buy the malvani spices, kaju etc stuff from the local shops there.

Hotel Review of Soham Resorts
Comments: The overall experience of visiting Tarkarli and staying at Soham Beach Resort was amazing. There was an initial apprehension with the appearance of the room but we were lucky to be moved to a newly constructed room after a day and that room was much better and sea facing.

Do not expect the room to be like a star-hotel. It's basic but not bad. yet again most places in Tarkarli are like that; more like home-stays and budget accommodations accept a few hotels Sagar Sangam, Seaview, etc.

The location of this resort is awesome. Many resorts claim to be 'beach' resorts but aren't this one is right on the beach. Walk 150 meters to reach the serene beach.
Best Experience: Very cooperative care takers and food was excellent. They we very helpful and went out of the way to make other stay comfortable and also accommodated our odd requests like showing us the local fish market or packing some boiled eggs on the way back.

Food is another strong point of this resort. We tried food in some famous places and hotels like Chaitanya and Swami but found the food at the resort's homely kitchen much better and tastier.
Worst Experience: Rooms can possibly be maintained better and kept cleaner.
