Tea County Hill Station Resort, Munnar
KTDC Hill Resort Munnar
I got married in the month of February this year and went to Kerela for honeymoon. One of the places I visited during this trip was Munnar. We stayed for 3 days in Tea County Hill Resort at Munnar. The hotel is very beautifully architectured on the hills. It seems as if they have cut down the hills and formed various layers on which rooms and cottages are built. My experience with the hotel was very good and we had a comfortable stay there. The staff of the hotel was very courteous and the service was excellent. The room in which we stayed was quite spacious and had all basic amenities like LCD with cable connection, blower, hot/cold water, toiletries, cupboard, dressing mirror, study table, dining area, minibar, telephone, coffee maker, laundry etc. to name a few. The room also had a little balcony which faced the hills. I was dumfounded when I woke up in the morning and went to the balcony. It was an amazing sight from there. Looking at the greenery and the beautiful hills would freshen you up and hold your sight for minutes. There were a few recreational activities like pool, table tennis etc. offered by the hotel. The hotel also has a wine and beer parlour for the ones who drink. It also has a restaurant by the name \'County Cuisine\'. The food is delicious and they offer a good variety of cuisines in their in-house restaurant. The weather is much colder at night as compared to day. Make sure that you carry atleast a few warm clothes if you want to enjoy your evenings out. The food and drinks are a little expensive in the in-house restaurant and bar of Tea County, but there are a few inexpensive restaurants nearby in the market area. You can get better food at lesser price there. Also, if you are a North Indian, and don\'t have the taste for South Indian food like me, you can get some really good north Indian food in the nearby restaurants and dhabas which specialize in North Indian cuisine.
The hotel was nearby the city. The appearance of the hotel was looking very good. There were a shopping mall and a pool in the hotel. There were many varieties of food provided in the hotel. The experience at the hotel was very awesome. All complementaries were provided by the hotel. The quality of the food was excellent and the prices were high. I had no idea about the price of the food. The room was very much well maintained. Each and everything in the hotel was taken care of. The interior and exterior of the hotel was well maintained and were designed in modern trend. Everything was so beautiful in the hotel. I liked the hotel very much and I would like to visit this hotel again and again.

On Sep 2015, We stayed at the Kerala State Government owned and managed KTDC Tea County Resort which is located in Munnar town. There is also the Tea Country Resort located in Chithirapuram about 12 km away where we spent an extremely pleasant evening. So visitors to Munnar can take their pick of either resort and enjoy breathtaking views and gulp in clean, fresh, mountain air. We were 2 and had 1 room that opened out onto a small balcony that overlooked the lush green mountain side. Service is very good and staff over there are good. Food decent price and worth. Overall awesome place to spend for couple or family.
