"The Amber Vermont".... to call this place a hotel or resort would absolutely be an understatement. This place is absolutely heaven. To say based on my experience being a globe trotter, where i have stayed at one of the best properties, Amber Vermont definitely top the charts.Talk about location, staff, service, amenities all of them are just out of the world. Right in front of the Himalayan Range, only property in entire Mussorie which was snow covered in January, it was splendid, beautiful and mesmerizing.Only place out my experience of stays in different hotels, Amber Vermont offered heated beds, beautiful cozy room, luxurious bathrooms and cleanliness tops the charts. The staff was super courteous and was available at our beck n call. We would name our need and the staff would arrange it, irrespective of the conditions. Food was amazing and anything on the menu you ask for will just turn out to be great. To top it all was offered a great deal and we enjoyed to the fullest.
We actually came to see the snow fall, and that was exactly what we got to see. Room was nice and cosy, drew the curtains and there was the snowfall, it was an amazing experience. The services were good but there is room for improvement. Mainly due to ice formation due to the snow the steps going down to the restaurant were not kept free of ice and poised as a major trip hazard. Overall the food was excellent, the service in the restaurant was great and the staff were amazingly pleasing. Due to the snow fall the main power was turned off and the back up generator was being used, two days was a bit too much to run the engine continuously, advice would be to have an additional generator to provide constant power to customers. Word of advice and caution - Don't think of leaving the hotel the next day after the snow as you will not make it, either extend your stay for an additional day or two and delay your flights from Dehradun as you would find it impossible to move out of the place. All in all it was just an amazing experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was great along with the staff and I would recommend it to anyone who want to have a beautiful and peaceful stay.

We really can't say enough good things about The Amber Vermont Estate! After coming here,we were so pleased that we booked this resort. Firstly, this is a beautiful Estate situated in the foothills of the Himalayan's, near Mussoorie, India. It was about a 2 hour Knuckle drive up some pretty steep and obstacle riddled roads, but the drive was well worth the pain. The resort is nestled in a very private area on the mountain, just enough away from any noise of the town. The resort was finely kept, with beautiful gardens and well manicured lawns and garden area. We were greeted by a very friendly staff upon our arrival who made sure our room met our expectations. The room was well appointed with all the amenities we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the room offered ample ventilation. Even with the heat in Dehradun exceeding 100 F, it was a very comfortable 80 F in Mussoorie each day and even the occasional summer shower kept things very comfortable. The best thing we found at this lovely resort was the food and the staff who worked at the Restaurant. Each day we were met with very friendly staff who served the most delicious food! We ate like Royalty and enjoyed every meal that was presented to us! There was not a single meal we didn't enjoy and for this alone, this was worth every penny! We felt the food far exceeded our expectations and the value was excellent! The Chambermaid staff were very friendly, very helpful and always there immediately whenever we needed anything at all. Overall, we can't say enough good things about The Amber Vermont Estate. We loved the location, the facilities, the room and most of all, the food! We would definitely recommend this place for even the most discerning traveler and we WILL be returning here one day for our Anniversary. Room Tip: Ask for upper room with Mountain View
We went to Amber Vermont resort in 3rd week of October, 2015 for our annual family get together. We had booked one suite and 3 deluxe double bedrooms and we stayed there for 5 nights. The resort is far from the hustle and bustle of Mall Road and with natural surrounding. But that is not the problem because they provide free pickup and drop to Mall Road. Further it is very close to company garden. The quality of food is very good specially Indian but continental food is not up to mark. The staff are very cordial and helpful. They were always ready to prepare non spicy food for children. The resort has a small garden where you can sip tea in the morning. Further they have a children park where kids can enjoy see saw and other games. In the deck they have kept a telescope so that you can enjoy the snow capped mountains. The suite is quite spacious and the deluxe double bedrooms are also very nice. Overall it was a very memorable family holiday.
