The hotel is in the outskirts of Mussoorie. Location is great not in between the hustle -bustle. You do not have to enter Mussoorie centre to get to this hotel. The property scores in terms of peace and calmness. But the property has gone down in loads of areas and this is the reason would not like to visit this again. I have been here twice in last 2 years Last I visited this hotel in November 2014 but was completely dissatisfied by the service and attitude of people working here. I don't know whether it was because of low season or actually their morals are down. I had many issues Spa : The girls maintaining or who are responsible for running the spa are not at all serious about the job. They do not turn up and open the spa before 9 am. So you cannot use the steam/sauna before 9. 30 as it needs time to start-up. Then hot water was a big hassle as it again takes time to get hot water, so by the time all this is done the breakfast time is over. On both the mornings I was at the gym/spa at 8 and it wasn't open. You really cannot run up and down to get the basic things done here. I called the reception to open the gym and Mr. Vikrant replied that cleaning is being done. No one was inside the gym, basically they just delay everything. I don't know why the management does not understand that people use gym early mornings as well. Internet is too slow Restaurant : They have very limited vegetarian options. Also they have removed the Chinese menu. Another problem is being cartridges member you are eligible for standard card discounts at the restaurant but here they told me starters are not covered under this scheme. Really trying to cheat. In the evening also they do not have any tandoori starters etc. I did not like anything here this time. So second night I went out and had much better food at JW Marriot. The free breakfast was not buffet so you can order from a very limited menu that they give and it is same everyday. Quality and taste of food was also not good. The excuse they make is since it is a hill station it is very difficult to get ingredients. I don't care where do you get ingredients from. I care whether I am getting the food and service or not Bar : They only had Kingfisher as beer option at the bar. Half of the things were not available from the menu. Very basic stock The basic problem I see here is they are trying to cut corners and trying to get more money out from few guests. The property, service is not at all I would expect from The Claridges Nabha Residence. I am really dissatisfied by the level of service people running this property are offering. It certainly is not a property to pay Rs. 8-1000 per night. Being a Claridges member if I do not get a good service then I don't know what is offered to other guests. There is no feel of good experience left here now.
After deciding to take a break from our very hectic schedules and spend some quality time together as a couple, we booked into the deluxe room in nabha residence for 3 nights of blissful stay. The service is worth mentioning as the staff are extremely polite, warm and helpful The room we were allotted initially was quite big with a dressing room and spacious bathroom but as it overlooked the courtyard/ reception, we opted for a smaller room which was more cosy and private, overlooking the forest. They have a variety of good quality pillows to choose from, though I would suggest that they upgrade their pillow menu to include dust-mite free ones too Come morning, there were langurs peering down at us having our coffee leaving us to wonder if we ought to hang on tight to our camera. The staff at the restaurant are extremely hospitable and served us with nary a murmur. On our last night, we requested for a bonfire (complimentary by hotel) and had dinner outside. It was a very pleasant and memorable experience. Especially noteworthy was the murgh malai Tikka and chicken Tikka which were cooked to perfection. The hotel provides 2 hours of free WiFi and haveafter deciding to take a break from our very hectic schedules and spend some quality time together as a couple, packages for additional hours. The heating in room was adequate and bathroom had hair dryer along with the usual vanity items. Good quality shampoo, conditioner and body lotion was provided. We could also borrow dvd from their library menu. The staff also ensure that our requests are dealt with in a timely Manner. If you are a honeymooning couple, do opt for room 115 which is smaller but very private.
The hotel is good. The railway station and bus stop are located about 4 km away from the hotel. The deluxe rooms on the top floor are very good. It is in the outskirts of the city and there is greenery all around. It is located in a posh area. The behaviour of the staff is very nice. Food was included in our package and it was of good quality. The rooms were neat and clean. There were no difficulties during check-in or check-out. There was no swimming pool or gym at the hotel. The hotel provided pick up and drop facilities. I would categorize my overall stay here as value for money.
Had a superb stay at Claridges during my 2 night stay at this hotel. It is a great property to stay. Duplex rooms are amazing in case you have kids also with you. Food is excellent with good activities for kids. It's about 3-4 Kim's from mall road. Distinctly located away from the hustle & bustle of the main mall, with easy approach & dense forestation of pine trees all around. Would definitely like to come here again.
We (a family of 4) had visited Mussoorie for relaxation as well as spending quality family time together. And Nabha Claridges provided us with both opportunities in abundance The staff was highly respectful, helpful and courteous. It's a huge property with serene, calm and clean environment. However, one must insist for the rooms around the main porch.
