I visited there in Nov 2014. After a full day travel from Jodhpur, I reached the place in the evening. As it was my anniversary day, they specially prepared for a candle light dinner and a cake which was heart warming.

The location is at the bank of lake Pichola so all major tourist attractions were nearby. The rooms were small but nice and tidy. Only problem is non availability of lift so not for elderly.

Mostly visited by foreigner so the menu on the kitchen was more per their taste ie. Continental and European dishes. The services were fine. As I stayed there for a single day, haven't got much to complain.

The best part is terrace which is highest in the area and the view of lake Pichola is awesome from the top. The owner, (probably a German person) gifted us a beautiful silver sun on our departure.

Will definitely recommend it for short stay.

The hotel is conveniently located but as it is bit interior and not visible from the main road, it was difficult to reach. The interior of hotel was good and modern look and it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and by the help of manager we could find the location easily, I appreciate their help. There was no delay in check-in and check-out. Rooms were spacious, neat and clean but they could have provided storage places like shelves. There was no view from the room but AC, TV, geyser everything were functioning properly. There was no food available from the hotel. I did not find any indoor and outdoor activities. Parking facilities was not there. The trip to Udaipur was with family. It is worth paying the money to that hotel.

Location is good, housekeeping is average. Initially we have to wait 30 minutes for entry irrespective of prior confirmation. Food quality is far below, there is no choice in food and we have to go outside for food. There is no professional waiter and staff. Behaviour of staff is very bad they look on us in very bad eyes.

The Tiger is housed in a rented accomodation inside a narrow, rather noisy lane. Dont evaluate the hotel from the lane however, inside it is very nice and clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very good and supportive. However, toilets need a lot of attention. Hot and cold water supply was good. Rooms, beds and corridors are immaculate clean. Beware in summer, the hotel has no power backup. Restaurant service is uncertain if guests are less. Not much choice of Indian food. Cafe Edelweiss run by the hotel owner is just outside the lane. But it has not much to delight the Indian palate. The locality around also has no good hygienic restaurants since it is the old part of the city.

Best Experience: As such stay in room was very comfortable. The hotel is almost adjacent to Bagor ki Haveli where we enjoyed very nice cultural dance shows in the evening. It is also at walkable distance from the City Palace museum which is a must see in Udaipur. We forgot our mobile phone in Bagor ki Haveli inspite of the organizers' reminder to collect our belongings after the show. We detected this on return to our room in The Tiger. I rushed back to Bagor ki Haveli, where the organizers had kept the mobile phone safely and were looking impatiently for the owner of the phone. I was gladly handed back my phone with great politeness, a sweet memory which will remain in our minds forever.

Worst Experience: The room allotted to us had a neat but very small bathroom so we requested for a room with bigger bathroom. It was promptly allotted by the hotel staff. This room had a bigger bathroom but very shabby with non-functional taps on the wash basin and also shabby toilet seat. So we reverted to the earlier room only. On last day the guests were less so restaurant of the hotel was closed.
