Fabulous interior and tasty food

4.9/7
Posted 7 Nov, 2013

I was at trip to Mysore this June, I really enjoyed my trip and stayed at awesome hotel The viceroy comfort, fabulous interior and tasty food in restaurant and good behaviour of hotel staff made my trip so happy. Mysore is a place that you may always associate with palaces and brindavan garden. But believe me, Mysore is a great place just to lazy and bide your time, if you choose your time of stay judiciously. Any time from Dassehra ( Mid-Oct) to Jan-end should be the best time to be in Mysore. The climate is pleasant, ambience is a mix of countryside beauty with urban crowd and facilities Food, sightseeing and shopping: The coffee smell too good to be missed. The greeneries are omnipresent. Either stay at a five-star like hotel (e. G. Southern Star Regalis) or in a native hotel ( e. Dasprakash Paradise), you will never miss the touch of natural beauty and urban facilities. There are hotels like Ramnashree and Sandesh, the Prince that are worth staying as well Activities & things to do: One must have his own vehicle to roam around the city. If you have a knack for observing greeneries and general lives, Mysore provides tremendous opportunities. The roads are smooth and well-laid out. The people are extremely friendly and warm. A little more proportion of Unclasping population would have been ideal. One can travel on the outskirt of the city on a ring road, and enjoy the ride while having coffee. There are many good places to take food. One should not miss Dinner in Hotel Green or lunch in Regalis. The breakfast is pretty good in Dasprakash Paradise.

Good but rooms needs more maintenance

3.9/7
Posted 7 Nov, 2013

I organized my family picnic at Mysore, Ooty & kodai canal. In Mysore we have to halt & cover our points in evening & next day morning. We halted at The Viceroy Comforts. The Hotel preview is so nice from outside & inside. Rooms are very clean & neat. I & my family loves the cleanliness of the room, toilet. Televisions are LEDS & with crystal clear pictures. A/C s should be maintained. Because we have complained to staff regarding cooling. They are very slow in cooling the room. Staff is co-operative. In the morning complimentary break fast is given. It is in buffet manner. Break fast quality is very good. If you reach in time you will get hot breakfast. Co-ordination between staff is lack. Because when we leaved for seeing points & came in night we have seen that our room is not cleaned. When we complaint about this to reception available persons cleaned the rooms urgently. Overall When I will come back to Mysore again I would like to stay in this Hotel.

Good food and well-behaved staff

5.1/7
Posted 12 Aug, 2014

There was no difficulty in finding the hotel because location was convenient. Staff behaviour and their services were okay. There was no delay in services. Appearance wise, it was okay, not too good and not too bad. Rooms or everything were also good. They did not have swimming pool and other activities. Room was okay. Washroom, bed sheet, and everything were maintained. Food was also good. They provided both North Indian and South Indian food. Price wise, It is a 2-star property. Variety was available there. There was no view available from the room. TV, AC, geyser, etc. Were functioning properly. Ample parking facility was provided by them. Overall it was good to stay. Hotel was located in the heart of the city so everything was close by. It was a family trip.

Spacious rooms and nice facilities

6.1/7
Posted 24 Sep, 2014

Hotel was situated near about 15 minutes walking distance from bus stop and railway station and it was nice location. Appearance of the hotel was nice. Behavior of the staff was nice. Services were fine. Their rooms were spacious and well furnished. Pillow, bed sheets, blanket and other things were neat and tidy. All basic amenities were available in the room like TV, AC, geyser, etc. They all were working properly. Any scenic view was not available from the room. I had food inside the hotel and it was okay. They served complimentary breakfast. Both varieties were available veg and non-veg. I traveled there alone for official purpose in the month November 2013. Money wise, the hotel was reasonable. The value of the hotel was sufficient for middle class people. Booking and front office services were prefect. My experience in the hotel was very good. I can recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Excellent place to stay at a very reasonable cost

6.6/7
Posted 30 Oct, 2013

The trip was planned suddenly in about 15 minutes. We did not even have enough time to book our hotel stay and we decided to book it when on our way. Selected The Viceroy Comforts, Mysore randomly from one of these online portals . . We could not book it online due to net work issues. However, our problem was solved as the booking was done just by a phone call The booking confirmation was also received immediately The location of the hotel was also very good and in the heart of the town. The rooms were neat and completely spic and span. A very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also wholesome and we enjoyed it too. Over all a very good trip and a very comfortable stay at The Viceroy Comforts, Mysore. Excellent place to stay at a very reasonable cost

Staff were really hospitable, Nice & cosy room.

6.1/7
Posted 11 Apr, 2014

We visited this hotel to spend time with the entire family. It was a really a nice experience. We were allowed to keep pets and the staff were really hospitable. THe rooms were nice and cosy and spacious beds. The amenities were excellent. The hotel is located adjacent the JSS hospital and the Mysore palace, so was very useful. The food was pretty decent however a little more variety could have been there in the breakfast menu. The room service was very prompt.

Good service and polite staff; rooms were OK

4.7/7
Posted 24 Apr, 2014

We visited to Mysore for watching the best and biggest Dusshera celebrations. We reached Mysore early in the morning 6'o clock, to the Hotel Viceroy Comforts in the center of the city near to JSS medical college Hospital, received by the staff very politely, and stayed for some time in the hotel for relaxation. At the outset, the hotel service was good but rooms are very small and congested We visited Mysore zoological Park along with the kids and went back to the Mysore palace in the evening to watch the Mysore palace and the ancient instruments which the Rajas and others used. After the visit of palace we visited the exhibition grounds for shopping Among all the places we visited, Mysore palace and Brindavan Garden were awesome. We would like to visit Mysore Dusshera and stay in the same hotel for the convenient place and good service Finally I would like to prefer to be in the hotel in the next visit with my family members, it was a very good family trip at the end, with some minor adjustments for the congested rooms I finally thank my friend Dr Mahantesh for his support in getting the gold card and booking a very good room for our comfortable stay in historic city Mysore.

Nice rooms, food is way below minimum standard

4.1/7
Posted 1 Nov, 2013

I booked the hotel online, the moment you see the hotel pictures online, there is no doubt about the value for money for the price. Staying at the hotel was altogether a different experience The rooms are nice with all the amenities, only the food is way below the minimum standards. Place is short on staff for room service Will recommend it for a short stay.

Good value for money

5.5/7
Posted 6 Oct, 2013

It was a short stay of 2 days with my family (wife and kid) in Viceroy Comfort hotel, Mysore . . Hotel can be easily located and it is pretty near to Mysore Palace, You can take an auto if you don't want to walk for 10 minutes to palace. Room was pretty spacious and clean so does the bathroom. It had an LCD tv and sofa next to the bed as well. WiFi was available in the reception area and not available on the rooms. The staff were pretty welcoming and provided suggestions on cheap and best options to commute around places in Mysore. The room rent included the breakfast and breakfast was a buffet with menu containing fruit salads, idly, kesar, kitchadi, toasted bread, coffee, tea. The food tasted really good and restaurant had good ambience and nice furniture. I had breakfast for 2 days but wished the menu was changed the other day. Room service was good, the food options are very limited when you order for food during unusual hours. Make sure you eat out and come rather ordering food in room service during non usual food hours. To visit places in Mysore, you can take an auto to bus stop which is near by to the hotel and take the volvo buses which will be a cheaper option rather than taking a taxi or auto to places. This was suggested by the reception guys and it was pretty useful. Overall a pleasant experience and enjoyed the stay.

We visited Mysore on a two days trip to take my family on an outing, also to take my kid to the Zoo and other places of interest. We were really admired by the wall photographs that were on the wall. So nice. We had a pleasant stay in this hotel The overall experience during my stay was fantastic. All amenities were provided. We traveled to a temple some 15 kms from the hotel, the hotel folks arranged me a cab and we had a nice time. Service was really fantastic. I would really refer to my friends.
