Worst Experience: driving car was worst as there was snow everywhere.

Chakrata is a nondescript Cantonment nestled at about 2100 m above sea level and accessible by road from Delhi - about 330 Kms. and by train upto Dehradun and thereafter by road through Mussourie-Kempty falls at an distance of about 90 Kms. It offers outstanding view of Bandarpoonch Range & Swargarohini of Himalayas. It also has some interesting excursions like Deoban, Tiger falls, Kanasar & Mundali etc.

Best Experience: The scenic beauty was outstanding from the Hotel, as was the facility of using the vintage Fireplace at extra cost.

Worst Experience: 1) The Hotel did not provide towels; 2) A vehicle had been fixed by the Hotel for visiting Deoban, despite the fact that the Vehicle could not reach the destination and we had to change the destination, the Hotel charged us half of the fixed amount for the aborted trip and full for the other. One is advised to negotiate for Jeep in the market above and not fall prey to such machinations later.

Chakrata is a very good place for tourist. There is peace all around. Beautiful sight scene particularly water fall is so much beautiful. Weather is also good.

Best Experience: My best experience was travel on foot towards the water fall and early morning weather outside the hotel.

I went with my wife and a lady friend. We are all SCZN. The hotel location is outstanding specially the room we stayed. Snowview room facing northeast. We could not view the mountains due to haze but we had outstanding sunrise view. Spectacular. The owner is excellent human being with a very efficient and courteous staff. Rates-very resonable. Could not have a better holiday
