The heritage experience is very good. Its an old 100 year old Chettiar house converted into a hotel. The house itself is very cute. But the Welcome Heritage name is just a tag. The service is honest but not professional. The front office manager also acts as the restaurant manager etc. The staff is also very polite and eager to help you but are not well trained. There is only one retaurant with one waiter. Surprisingly...the number of cooks is more than the waiters! But the food is good. Over all it was a nice experience only because of the heritage tag to it. Otherwise it would have just been an average hotel.

Best Experience: The food and the heritage experience.

Worst Experience: The bathtub. It had high side walls which made it difficult to get in and you have no choice but to get in as the shower was also in it. And the worst part was that the tub drain was at a slightly higher level that the floor of the tub so there was always water stagnation in the tub.

Creatively designed rooms..the duplex with bed room upstairs was interesting. Bathrooms were small but clean...interesting experience. Read a review that a customer\'s car Ac conked and the hotel guys helped fixing it. yes..mine conked too..but couldn\'t fix it. Just take care of your car AC too if you are going there.

Best Experience: The Room and the food were good.The choice of variety made the restaurant an interesting place.The juices were good but watery.The room by itself was an experience one wont forget so easily.

Worst Experience: No parking area..some mosquitoes...slow food service..was billed in advance in writing for fruit basket, flower pot and cookies...never saw them.

Calve inn..........is surely a romantic place to spend calm and quality time after hectic hours!!! But i am sure, auto drivers will struggle to take u to this place.......its in a busy street next to school, but some how unnoticed.....\'Privacy Assured\' to an extent that even if you want ur room be cleaned no one will appear for a long long time, until u assure that they will not disturb ur privacy :) I got to say, the ambience is fantastic.....beautiful lights and exceptional karaikudi style roooms, with LCD TV and bath tub.....very cleanly maintained! you can start your day reading news paper in the huge lobby and end ur night with a cup of Pondy wine! what a day! Beach is quite close to the Calve inn and so are the busy shopping streets.... Oh yes how can i forget about the food.....excellent, very good quality and taste...i am sure you will find innovative way of presenting food....however be sure, there is a little high cost attached to the pleasantly served food :) Staying in Calve inn was a pleasureful experience, to an extent that we dint feel like getting out to see Pondy :( And guess this will be useful if not for me to visit Egypt , atleast for all you guys to visit Pondicherry!

Best Experience: I just dint know how three days passed on,................i enjoyed food, served innovatively, a chapathi is very well made and closed on the food serving..well u wudnt understand until u are there....... The high wodden roofs and ambience is just fantastic, even the wires there are given wooden sealings....extremely well maintained!

Worst Experience: The staff there, treat you with good respect, however we had problem in room service, it just takes huge time for the guys to come over to clean the room. The food stuffs cost huge, that u might think to restrict the quantity of your food, however the taste is awesome!
