The holiday was splendid.Very good place.Food and location was awesome service was excellent.They took us to safari tour which was nice as well.Was quite an adventurous tour there.loved the place location.Overall excellent place.

I visited this resort in January with my family. The first experince was unique which I never expected. Very good hospitality by the manager, Mr. Ramesh who made us very comfortable. My wife & children enjoyed the food. Eventhough, the forest safari was arranged in the afternoon, we had a good spotting of wild animals. We preferred to extend our stay for one more day. Unfortunately, the resort was full. The price was very reasonable compared to similar resorts around Kabini. We recommend short trip stay at Kabini Lake view Resort.

The highlight of this resort is the the location. The resort is situated on the banks of Kabini & is a nature's delight. The manager is welcoming and the staff is very courteous. The food was very good especially the vegetraian buffet & the sweets they offered. The dining room is excellently placed facing the lake. We throughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay away from the city. The prices were economical. I'd rate this resort a Value for Money. We went on forest safari in the evening. We had a decent spotting of deers, bisons & a herd of elephants. Next day morning we went on coracle ride. Our kids really enjoyed the ride. Overall a nice experience. I'll definitely visit the resort again.

Best Experience: Spotting of elephant herd

This resort is not much of a resort, but feels like camping at expensive hotel prices. We selected this resort after a mix up by our travel agent. I would recommend staying at one of the nice resorts and playing extra, staying in Mysore and driving out and back for a safari, or sleeping in your car. This place was a major disappointment for my wife and I, as well as the other couple we met there. We felt bad for them as it was their honeymoon and they had better expectations. We checkout out and stayed at Orange County for a night, which was about twice as expensive, but 10 times better. The Kabini River lodge was booked up, but has excellent reviews and for Indians is very reasonable.

Best Experience: We did go on the forest safari, and did see animals, especially liking elephants at fairly close distances, but this isn't really related to the hotel, more of the area. Bus was not in good condition and noisy. Other options for safari had better vehicles.

Worst Experience: Bugs in the room, dishonest manager, dirty staff. Advertisement on webpage is not reality for this place.

We stayed in this hotel during Sep-2011 for 2 days; overall feedback is very positive. Highly impressed with the hospitality of staff and management. Special thanks to the resort manager, Mr. John, who took care of us very well. Food was really delicious. Rooms are decent. Outside amenities can be improved a bit. Looks like, they have planned for more development activities in the near future.
