Himalaya Hotel Reviews

The location of hotel was good. Outward appearance was nice. The hotel people assisted us in the hotel. However, going to room was tedious as no one was available for about 15 minutes. We have booked A.C. room but it started functioning late.

Best Experience: The spacious room with a T.V. A.C. when started functioning was chilling and we have to stop it. Despite non-availability of dining facilities, we were offered all assistance for food.

Worst Experience: The AC which started functioning very late and the worst was toilets which were not properly maintained.

The location is pathetic except for the fact that it is some 20 minutes walking distance away from Marina Beach. The upkeep and cleanliness of the rooms, bedding/curtains etc. is very very poor. Infact even after the sheets were got changed they were very dirty and torned from the sides. The staff at the front office was rude. We had made prior reservation through Tamilnadu Tourism thinking that it would be a good hotel but to our dismay it was worse than the roadside lodges !

Worst Experience: The hotel staff could not provide extra bed for the kids. All they had to offer was a smelly mattress with a pale stained bed cover.
