Monal Hotel Reviews

The overall experience for our stay at hotel Monal, Dalhousie was not that great. I had booked the room by e-mail after inquring about the facilities, the room picture and the view from the room. However, to my dismay, the picture they had sent me regarding the view from the room, was not right as the room did not have absolutely any view, apart from that of the wall of another hotel, it was actually the view from the verandah of the hotel.

Best Experience: Best experience, well not any as compared to my stay at various other hotels.

Worst Experience: The hotel is accessible only after a very steep slope, which is not that bad to get to the hotel, but you will think a 100 times to get out of there as the climb back to the road is so tiring that you need to take a couple of min. rest to walk ahead to get to the Gandhi Chowk, which is another 5 min after that steep climb. Then there was absolutely no view from the room. The room was filled with mosquitoes and on asking for a repplent, we were provided with a very small portion of a coil. The towels were not changed in the 3 days of our stay.The TV was not in order. There was no sound and on complaining about it, a boy came and started the sound by slapping the TV, which i had to continue doing after every 5-10 min for the rest 3 days of my stay, for watching TV, though there was not much on it with very limited no. of channels
