well i did complete research before going to lonavala...so the net result of my research and lonovala trip is as follows 1)dnt book over the internet if u r not going with ur family.if u r going with ur bf/gf just head for the place n check in. 2)avoid going on weekend.terrible traffic. 3)u need a vehicle of ur own.u will get frustrated in the ricks.avoid taking bikes in rainy season ,i saw lots of accidents. 4)ok,now the most important thing.lonavala is divided into 2 areas.the main city n uphill.most of the beautifull scenes n waterfalls r uphill near bushi dam.the problem is that if u go uphill doing the rainy /winter season u will be paralysed in the night cuz the fog is so terrible that u cnt go out ur resort once its dark.so if u r fine with this take a resort uphill (make sure u do advance booking for them cuz they r in demand.try cloud 9 it awsome)

Best Experience: kamaths is a reputed name with branches all over india.in lonovala there r many many resorts n hotels.but this is one place which u can trust.good hotel.neat n clean rooms n toilets.the staff is not very cooperative but that doesnt cause much problems.its situated outside the city so those who r going with their own conveyance can blindfoldedly take this hotel.

The first hotel that comes your way as soon as you come out of the Expressway for Khandala. Good vegetarian food.

Best Experience: Excellent food. Caters to outsiders as well.

Worst Experience: Furniture in the rooms were a bit old. Needs some upgradation. Also some places in the resort require proper cleaning.
