Yercaud International Reviews

The overall experience was not bad, but Yercaud as compared to other hill stations is way behind. Not many places to see, no good Hotels to eat except Shevaroys (they are good). The drive to yercaud was what we enjoyed thoroughly as it was a guy only trip ;)

Best Experience: Few highlights are - Good hot water available in room, teh weather was chilly - Breakfast was good - The management was helpful in getting the room

Worst Experience: Worst experiences - - Inspite of booking the room a month in advance, we were told that our booking was not kept. - Rooms not very clean, you will have to ask for towel, soap etc - Very noisy even at 2 in the morning, may be because of Christmas night.

We had a very good time at the hotel. The food served there was one of the finest food, and it was made to order. The Manager was a very friendly person and made our stay very memorable. We reached the hotel when it was raining heavily and despite the odd hours, they served us tea-coffee and some hot snacks - perfect for a rainy day.

Best Experience: We were a group of 6 adults and one 2-yr old daughter. My father-in-law who is 75+ suddenly started feeling uncomfortable and dizzy, typical symptoms of a heart problem. When we asked the Manager for hospital/doctor contact details, he personally started calling up the doctors and hospitals. Being a Sunday evening, most of the clinics were closed and it was the doctors' day off. He managed to contact a doctor and even took us to this doctor's residence. The doctor examined my father-in-law and didn't even charge us any professional fees. This happened only because of the good contacts the hotel Manager had maintained. After this incidence, he always made sure that the food that was served to my father-in-law was cooked separately and specially for him as per the doctor's advice, for which the Manager didn't charge us any extra. Though I would rate the room quality and surroundings average, the service provided in time of need was just expemplary and I would definitely suggest this hotel to all my friends and relatives who plan to visit Yercaud.

Oh... Nobody in my family will never forget the experience we had in this hotel. We went during the summer and our luck favours them. Over the phone they told us the tariff is Rs.600/- and on booking the rate was revised to Rs.750/- within 30 min. There was no power in this hotel and the poor generator they have cannot supply sufficient power to run the fan. Mosquitoes in the surroundings had a good day with us. reamrkable trip we had

Best Experience: Nothing to tell the best. All the worst things are the best things.

Worst Experience: The Food.... You cannot taste a food like this anyhwere in Yeracud except this hotel. Be carefull about the billing. You may get the bills for the Hotel managers food also. We checked in the hotel at 2 P.M and they proved with their restaurant staffs that they served milk to our \'room\' at 10 A.M. and charged Rs.10/- Without paying the money they never allowed us to get out of the hotel.
