"The place is very good..."

The place is very good to take a break. Good for bird watching and just lazy around and not expect anything much!

Best Experience: Warm welcome by the front office team. Food was average. Safari rides in the morning and evening was a treat especially for Children.

Worst Experience: Not sure of those Snaps shared with us before the booking by Manager, just opposite in REAL!! Log hut is Ok but the Tents are in pathetic condition. Wet and dirty bedside mats, Bathroom/Toilet stinks as it has no light/sunlight and just no Hot water any time of the day. This place has no electricity in day or night after 10pm, it\'s a nightmare to stay here especially with Children and Old! Not sure why they can\'t invest on Solar Power though the nearby Village has utilized it and the adjacent Forest Department Guesthouse has installed. Jeeps used for Safari ride are more noisy. I would not recommend any to stay here as its not the worth the money we pay! Overall there is lot of scope for improvement, the place needs more trained and qualified manpower !

"The log-hut was very comfortable..."

  • Posted Oct 27, 2009
The log-hut was very comfortable and had good view of tree cover; safari ride was memorable with our 1.5yr old infant, and forest was suprisingly green in Apl. The standard of food and service was top-notch - Narayan\'s passion is infectious.

Best Experience: Jeep safari and forest trek were very exciting. Large herds of elephants and gaur were common sights. The anticipation of trying to spot a big cat was also exciting (although we didn\'t spot any). Bird watching was a well rewarded activity.

Worst Experience: Nothing particular to mention, but some compromises. Lack of electricity during the day (generators are switched on between 6-10pm) meant that we had to time the use of bottle sterlizers for the infant. Also, the bonfire area isn\'t big enough to accommodate all the guests of the resort.

"Total jungle experience...."

Total jungle experience.

Best Experience: The surroundings....you feel totally disconnected from civilization. Monkeys play around your rooms. The safaris lasts for more than 2 hours. The people at the lodge make every effort to make you comfortable.

Worst Experience: Food could have been better. But I\'m a veggie. May be non-veg stuff is better. Didn\'t spot as many animals as in bandipur or kabini.
