The recommendations from Holidayiq, lonely planet and a gut feeling were the reasons I booked my accommodation at Hotel Haveli Ganga. Its an amazing place, well maintained, clean comfortable excellent food and most of all value for money. Right from assisting you to park your vehicle in Haridwar to the aarti at Har ki Pauri under escort of the hotel priest, welcome with a rudraksh mala, private ghat for a holy dip in the ganges in your own time, bhajans at the haveli temple and all of the above for free are the highpoints of the stay for me. There are many other features like sauna, yoga, massage therapy etc which i could not use during my stay. To sum up, Hotel Haveli ganga is not a normal hotel stay, its an experience to be relished. Highly recommended for all.

Worst Experience: None what so ever. There is no room service but it is not required in a place like this.

it was a great experience at hari ganga haveli, it was a pleasent stay there. food was served hot and fresh and also a private gath was there.which was very good and impersive!

Great over all experience. Hari Ganga is the best place to stay in Haridwar. They are full all year round, so book in advance. Hari Ganga provides great value for money. I have stayed twice at the hotel (2008 Jan and 2009 May), and enjoyed both the winter and summer experience.

Best Experience: The rooms are reasonably well appointed with Fabindia decor, and nice furniture. Bathrooms are new and have customised soaps and toiletires. The food is great in terms of taste, variety and presentation, with Indian fare being the best. Complements to the chef. They also have a good spa. Staff is pleasant and and service is good. Excellent view of the Ganga rom 3 terraces, and a private ghat mae our experience memorable

Worst Experience: No gym

I think the experience of being in Haridwar, for the first time is more enthralling than anything else and it overpowers any bad experiences from the Hotel ! I am not a very religous minded person and hardly visit temples, holy places. On the behest of my parents, we visited Haridwar and the experience i had there in the evening aarti at har ki pauri on the ganga beaches was something beyond my expecatations. I strongly recommend people todo it once ! It is so strong that i havent een stated about the Hotel yet. Hotel Haveli Hari Ganga is a very ordinary hotel located in by lanes of haridwar. The rooms of the hotel are its best part. Spacious rooms, with a view of Holy Ganga, small TV Lounges and big bathrooms make you feel the lavishness of a Heritage hotel. However the goodness of the hotel stops just there. The food is absolutely lousy. All, breakfast, Lunch, Dineer .... i have never experienced such bad food in a Hotel like this. Culturally the place is very calm and always reminds you of the holy place you are in with posters about life, philosphy, yoga and Live Bhajans in the evening. Though the class of the singers will actually disappoint any good music lover.

Best Experience: The rooms, though not classy like a deluxe resort, are very lavious, spacious and rich.

Worst Experience: FOOD. COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE.
