This temple, dedicated to the Moon or Lord Chandra, is located at Thingaloor Town in the Tanjore District and is 33 km away from Kumbakonam. It is believed that ill effects of the influence of the moon, manifest in a person as ill health, loss of mental peace, loss of life in water and such, Hindus come to this temple, believing to rid themselves of such influence by praying to Lord Chandra.
